From Wikipedia:
Miami (/maɪˈæmi/ my-AM-ee, obscure or dated /maɪˈæmə/ my-AM-uh), officially the City of Miami, is a coastal metropolis in the U.S. state of Florida and the seat of Miami-Dade County in South Florida. It is the core of the much larger Miami metropolitan area, which, with a population of 6.14 million, is the second-largest metropolitan area in the Southeast after Atlanta, and the ninth-largest in the United States. With a population of 442,241 within its city limits as of the 2020 census,[6] Miami is the second-most populous city proper in Florida after Jacksonville. Miami has the third-largest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises, 58 of which exceed 491 ft (150 m).
Miami is a major center and leader in finance, commerce, culture, arts, and international trade. Miami's metropolitan area is by far the largest urban economy in Florida, with a gross domestic product of $344.9 billion as of 2017. According to a 2018 UBS study of 77 world cities, Miami is the third-richest city in the U.S. and the third-richest globally in purchasing power.[16] Miami is a majority-minority city with a Hispanic and Latino population of 310,472, or 70.2 percent of the city's population, as of 2020.
Downtown Miami has among the largest concentrations of international banks in the U.S. and is home to several large national and international companies. The Health District is home to several major University of Miami-affiliated hospital and health facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital, the nation's largest hospital with 1,547 beds, and the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, the University of Miami's academic medical center and teaching hospital, and others engaged in health-related care and research. PortMiami, the city's seaport, is the busiest cruise port in the world in both passenger traffic and cruise lines.[20] The Miami metropolitan area is the second-most visited city or metropolitan statistical area in the U.S. after New York City, with over 4 million visitors as of 2022. Miami has sometimes been called the "Gateway to Latin America" because of the magnitude of its commercial and cultural ties to the region. In 2022, Miami ranked seventh in the U.S. in business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience, and political engagement.

Visit here is ok but you wouldn’t want to live here.
@@MrJestyler How Come U Wouldn’t Wanna Live In Miami
@@tameikabrownI’m from Miami born and raised. It way too expensive to live here and the jobs here don’t pay a lot so don’t get fool by glamorous city lifestyle
Hey Mike I see that view oof downtown every day going to work. Downtown does become vacant after 5. See a lot of homeless all around, the streets are really beat up. All the high rises going up for people with money to live in. Tons of income disparity here.
MIAMI VACANT AFTER 5? ARE YOU CRAZY OR JUST STUPID? PEOPLE LIKE YOU CAN NOT SEE PROGRESS, AND WHEN YOU SEE IT YOU DENY IT AND BLAME THE RICH, WHEN THEY ARE THE ONE THAN BRING PROGRES AND JOBS, WHHY DONT YOU TAKE A SHOWER AFTER WORK AND GO TO DOWTOWN AND SEE IT!! AND EDUCATE YOUR SELF A LITTLE
Yeah I see. Once you get outside the wealthy parts it looks like a very different city.
they really should nick name Miami the empty city. Milwaukee has more pedestrians and life to it. This is the bustling Brickell Miami boosters talk about? What was it like before? Good grief. And its not even the summer, so it will look more dead later.
Until a day or two ago, we've had temps near 90 in central FL. Also, what you snow blowers do not get is that we've got so many more options as far as recreation goes around our cities than most cities up north. Numerous beaches, lakes, rivers, springs, parks, year round sporting events, etc. Why would we want to walk around downtown during the day?
@@321gates miami boosters tell me brickell is bustling tho...maybe they have low standards?
You do know people walk around cities right?
@@321gates im in california
Where people enjoy being outside.
And lets not compare our recreational options to yours. I mentioned milwaukee cause its a far smaller metro but looks busier. Its really really weird
@@SA-hz1rs And you're ignoring my previous reply.
@@SA-hz1rs So you used a city that you've probably never been to and where people can only walk around outside for 7 months out of the year ...
I would love to compare our outdoor options to the country of California. But keep in mind that your ocean water is too cold to swim in, you have scorching hot ugly brown sand. you have very little freshwater to enjoy, boating/fishing is a fraction of FL's, do you even have a hunting season? You have mountains. That's about the only outdoor advantage that I can think of.
Atlanta can have so much massive skyscrapers, think of so much massive skyscrapers in The Big Peach!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
Atlanta is lightyears ahead of Miami: they have a real subway and way more ornate architecture. Tall buildings ain't everything, urbanism is what matters; in that regard, ATL wins.
