I got annoyed after the mouser model 9 reload and then super pissed after the welrod, fucking the well rods whore magazine is the handle but the characters is still holding it like it has a handle, also to charge the weapon you need to TWIST then bull back the slide before pushing it back and twisting it back, the weapon was made for covert operations to be completely silent
I'm "kind of" a fallout purist and I prefer my fallout mod guns to be pre 1980s guns since I think the latest modern gun in the original Fallouts were guns from the late 1970s, so I never end up adding modern guns with picatinny rail systems to my game. I'll probably add all those """lore friendly""" guns to my mod list now.
Gotta say though, the vanilla guns in fallout 4 is horrible, the worst one out of the whole franchise. That weird ass assault rifle, the combat shotgun which is a copy of the combat rifle and both of them are weird ass overly old guns. They're just not that enticing to be honest, and it doesn't fit the whole tacticool culture of firearms that seems to be prevalent, a 1980 gun would still be able to, but these are much older. Honestly i just roleplay that they've developed these new weapons, why not? It's been several hundred years and they've got flying blimps, giant robot, and androids. They could very well develop these modern firearms.

And my dude it's also very easy to edit them in Fo4edit, you can be bothered to do it, but you're just too lazy to try. I mean that's the dumbest reason to miss out on really nice mods.

some guns really would fits to the setting of Fallout 4 with its 1950s-60s aesthetics, ,like the Mauser , M1911, Tokarev, and Luger pistols, the Thompson Contender top break handgun, Grease gun, Suomi, Papasha, Sten, Skorpion and Thompson SMGs, the Browning auto shotgun, the Remmy M8 carbine, the M21 and Springfield rifles etc... i wish Bethesda would introduce these guns with quality animations in this game instead of weird frankenguns with re-used lazy anims... Crazy how the community can fix these problems unlike an entire AAA team

Yeah, there are a lot of animations that I recognized that were definitely ripped straight out of games. I can list a few like; Call of Duty MW2019, Call of Duty Vanguard, Insurgency, and of course Fallout 4.
@@mohammadipnu9507 actually this particular revolver was in NV and also had a swing out cylinder. The mod itself was trying to be accurate to New Vegas. NOT the irl inspiration. That probably explains why the cylinder acts like that here
I won't lie, I find it interesting that they have BOTH versions of the Mauser here... So, there's the first one you see, which I don't know the name of... It has a regular ol' magazine that you take out and put in a new one, easy breezy. Then you get the second one you see- the Mauser C96- that goes against most pistols, and takes what's called a 'Stripper Clip'. For those of you not too into guns, or don't know too much about 'em, a Stripper Clip is the kind of magazine a Mosin Nagant takes, with the bullets connected to a piece of metal where you place it in the feed, push the bullets down, and take off the metal piece. One problem I think a lot of modern gun mods have, however, would have to lie in it's compatibility to the world of Fallout... Now, I'm not some 'Oh, it needs to be lore-friendly' sap, no no no. But I am willing to state that a lot of things that are on these guns in this mod- such as tactical lasers- might not really be a thing, since those were a thing long after the big radiation craze (unless my numbers are off). Of course, if there was a sort of explanation someone could pick up- like by saying that the lasers they use are powered by a small isotope- then I'd probably accept that.
The other version of the C96 I believe you're thinking of is the M712 "schnellfeuer". In basic, it's the C96 with a box magazine (as you said) & comes with semi and full auto firing modes.

For those that are new to mods on fallout 4, if you want modern weapon mods, don't use giant ones that just add modern guns as most of those are very well animated. Instead, look up a mod for a specific gun and get that. The animations will be better, sound will be better and is just way more detailed on every level.
I use the Insurgency and the Mossberg 500 mods. They are very nice, the only problem is that you can't reload individual shells, the full reload animation has to play every time.
I'm surprised we don't see as many ww2 and earlier guns after New Vegas. After all those surplus and antique guns are surprisingly sought after. They wouldn't be everywhere by any means but they would still be there.

This really shows the different approaches people take with their weapon mods and animations The ports can be disregarded cause those are ports Some will make custom anims, which is really nice albeit sometimes jank Some use already made anims And a lot will reuse the deliverer anims even if they dont fit too well

Seeing that kind of reload of SPAS-12 gives me an emotional damage and probably some weapons with incorrect reloads but overall its a beautiful looking mod there
A lot of the MW19 reloads are in here, Makarov, Desert Eagle, Kriss Vector, etc. Some of them are slowed down but hyper has a distinct animation style that gives it away
It's really sad to see that more than a few animations are just ripped from games like MW 2019, Battlefields 1 and 4 as well as a one from Killing floor 2

Im not a modern guns mods guy, like my limit is guns which were in canonical fallouts (BOS isnt canon i think so i dont pay attention to their exclusive weapons) and in fallout 4 exclusively only add american WW2 weapons, east coast fallouts weapons (FO3s chinese AR or FO76 pump shotgun...) and guns till the 80's
All of the good animations you see here used on the modern guns are taken from other games. The "original" animation cycles for the other guns are clearly the ones the modders made. Half of these are from Insurgencey and the rest from MW 2019

I personally recommend the Misihrah Armory mod, the guns from Halo are just op, you can craft an AR, not modify it, go to Libertalia, and kill almost all the raiders there without reloading.

You can just see the significant jump in quality for Subleader’s stuff, like going from the Model 11 to the M2 Agency, and the VHS-2 to the SCAR-H.

I personally recommend the Misihrah Armory mod, the guns from Halo are just op, you can craft an AR, not modify it, go to Libertalia, and kill almost all the raiders there without reloading.
