Lot of coaching turnover, offensive changes, etc. but the league wasn’t going crazy to sign him after Miami. He had to take a backup role and was moved up after mariota flamed out.

100%. And it will happen earlier in the season than later, given the rate in which starting QBs get injured. Heck, last season was Tua’s first season playing every game (uninterrupted by injury). In my mind, as a realistic Dolphins’ fan, this means Tua “is due” for his next extended trip to the IR by Week 3 of next season. It wouldn’t shock me if Justin Fields is leading the Phins’ offense by Week 4.

Nah, not a chance in hell. Nobody is giving up draft capital for a QB who can't read a defense or get the ball out in time, and then also give him an extension afterwards. So why trade draft capital for a guy with 1 year of control who is WORSE than the guys I listed who were cheap, available, free agents?

He also had a horrible defense and usually has in his career. He has only had a defense better than 17th in points per drive twice in his career. He isn't a "carry you to the SB" type of QB necessarily but almost nobody is. Burrow was pretty meh in his SB run and other "meh" QBs like Eli, Foles, and Flacco have had amazing playoff runs.
None of this is to say ATL is suddenly a big time contender, but Kirk definitely is capable of a deep playoff run if everything goes right 1 year. Unlikely, but that's the case for most guys or teams imo. Takes a lot going right to win 1 ring.

If they do this they will have an inexpensive team for years to add a 1st rounder QB next year, if fields sucks. Better to have a strong all-around team with an average QB than a Primadonna QB and no team. Patiences can lead to a very good team. Next year will have more must have QBs as every year does. Kirk cousins is gonna go down as the most overpaid player in league history when he retires with a measily single playoff win in his carreer. Absolutely insane how much he has been able to make without achieving anything.

Field's is a younger Russ, and Russ's play didn't fit at Denver, so neither would Fields. Actually, there's only about 4 or 5 teams in the NFL who run an offense style that fit him, and the Steelers were the ones where he wanted to go.

What is Rich smoking? Jaden Daniels? #1? Are you high? A couple weeks ago Rich said the Bears shouldnt move off Fields for the consensus SSS+ Tier platinum QB prospect ane now he's saying skip that guy and pick the third best QB in the draft?

Question, when is the NFL going to start penalizing bottom feeding teams that scoop up draft talent and still can't win? I think it is time for the NFL to got to a lottery draft system. Year after year it's the same.

    1. Overreaction
    2. Not an overreaction. There's currently no team that needs him enough to trade draft capital to get him. Denver just moved off of a better QB than Fields, and thats saying a lot 😂
    3. Not an overreaction. Even with Rodgers, the jets probably win 8-9 games max. Dolphins lost some guys, but we'll have to see their schedule, Patriots will remain irrelevant for the next couple years at least.
    4. Overreaction. He certainly has the ability but the eagles will spread the ball around as he wont be the only offensive weapon.
    5. Overreaction... but i believe they COULD be. Gotta see the on field product first. Detroit is still the team to beat atm
    6. Overreaction ... by a mile lmfao. Henry has a lot of mileage on the treads. Doubt the offense will flow through him enough for him to break the rushing record
    7. Overreaction... i love the what the Texans are doing and I'd love for this to be true, but i don't think so as of yet
    8. Overreaction... They still have the talent to reach the playoffs this year. Contrary to popular belief, they'll be just fine even while being completely inactive in FA.
