I think the coyote realized you were its only way out of Kevin's enclosure, safely, since you handled Kevin so effortlessly. Raised some baby coyotes as a kid. Bottle fed them. Their mom was killed. They were crazy, mean little critters and wd chew up the bottle nipples and eat until their stomachs were abt to pop! Very active and they fought with each other all the time. They were all okay and turned loose. I kept one, Daisy. She took off into the pasture one night when the coyotes were howling and only came back once to say hello from a distance. They do not domesticate well but are beautiful and very smart.
