Ottoman indeed made Egypt eyalet in 3 years so that isn't broken at all, it was so annoying fighting against them 4-5 times. But Hungary becoming eyalet in a single war that's broken as fuck lol! They should bring an eyalet development system that you can still establish an eyalet with half of the country and capture other half in other wars. It was actually what happened with Hungary, most of it became Ottoman eyalet while some parts joined Austrians

I think the game generally suffers from failing to replicate why and how the empires of the time fell in decline, because you can just grow infinitely. I've never seen Spain forming the Roman empire, but in every game, if I don't intervene, the Ottomans control half of Europe by 1550 and by the end of they game they've reached Madagascar.

Even ai ottoman cant control lots of lands because i watched some timelapse 1.35 videos. I dont know your opinion that ottoman have reached to madagascar, maybe ottoman ai sometime can be too op :)
Could you do a second part on how to handle decadence/the ottoman power struggle? It looks like one of the harshest and most punishing disasters in the game, and I'd really like to know how not to get hit with a steady downward spiral like irl ottomans.

Janissaries weren't a separate elite army rather they were a part of Ottoman standing army which was called Kapıkulu army. It had Janissary corps (Infantry division), Kapıkulu cavalry division, topçu ocağı (artilery division), cebeci ocağı (supply division), even lağımcılar (drillers) had their own division even if they only supposed to dig tunnels under enemy fortifications. That's why Ottoman standing army was so successful against European armies as it had unmatched organization and discipline in it's time. Ottoman also had timar holder army which was more like European levy system that land owners would cover needs of some soldiers. They would act like local force in peace and would be levied during war. And ofc because Turks were nomadic people vast majority of timar soldiers were light cavalry called Sipahi. For example in 1475 there were 6,000 Janissaries and 40,000 Sipahis in Ottoman army. And because vast majority of Ottoman foot soldiers were from infantry division, Janissaries they played important part in literally all sieges and gained huge political power in time. Still they were greatly outnumbered and couldn't control Ottoman politics much for centuries until their numbers kept increasing and increasing. First their children were allowed to join the corps. Then Muslim children mostly orphans, not long after it completely became voluntary and devshirme system got abolished. In 17-18th century the corps had hundreds of thousands members and the worst part most of them weren't even soldiers rather merchants etc! Ofc Janissaries who joined wars were getting paid way more but still Ottoman was paying all Janissary members and emptying it's treasure. To battle this Ottoman reduced their peace time salary insanely and increased their war time salary and share from the loot, but as a result Janissaries became quite war-like and rebelled several times because there was too long peace period lol..

They are very weak at the begining compared to previous DLC, I didn't understand why but it seems the AI rush for mil Idea and are behind in the mil tech, which almost never happened before. Also their estates were all disloyal when I tag switch. I never seen them so weak, I played Venice and manage to beat them so easily, it was a piece of cake. Then I still had enough manpower to get almost all coastal province from the Mamluk, and they were much stronger than the Ottomans. AI is weak for the Ottoman, France and Brandenburg seems strong though, and Muscovy also. The only weak link seems to be the Ottoman as far as I can tell. Ludi didn't get lucky in his Castille video, the Ottomans probably get beaten by Venice, Poland or Mamluk half the time in this patch.

Wouldn't picking the City of Faiths option for Jerusalem event be better? It gives 3 times more development and 5% idea cost reduction until the end of game. Plus Mehmed II could benefit more from the extra dip pip as opposed to 100 adm points.
Honestly Decadence is totally useless as long as you're in the Age of Discovery thanks to the Rise of Ottomans modifier of -1 per month ^^ It's after that it starts to become risky, which is accurate of course XD

As Naples w/Austria and Hungary fighting Ottomans they had 20k stack with no cannons against our 40k with some cannons they just stomped our larger army. Both Ottomans and French have been so annoying to deal with in this update.
Core eyalets cannot be called into wars, so it makes sense to only reign them in when planning to annex. Regular eyalets count only their own military strength for liberty desire as well.
I think the byzantines should get the urban event first, and If they reject, the Ottomans got it, id the byzantines accept the ottomans don't get it Since thats what historically happened

Lately I was witness of Ottoplosion - rebels literally rip apart great nation (off course with help of neighbors) but boy, it was so dope - one mistake and literally almost game over.
actually, strongest son of mehmet the second was Cem (or jem), janissary didn't want someone like his father and opted and supported the bayezıd who had a more peaceful policy. And Cem escaped to west and died as a captive
mamluk mission is actually a fact. ottos annex them in 1 year with 1 war. I wouldn't say it's broken but maybe there could be some time or year limit to start it.
It's very satisfying to see the mamaluks collapse so easily. For all the times the AI took its crazy pills and actually beat the crap out of me in the old days.
The Janissaries may have been coloured green because green was the colour of the Rumelia Eyelet which was in Europe and contained the Christian communities who sons would become the Janissaries.

Ludi said the Jannisaries estate is a double edged sword but the Yatagan is famously single edged, Curious.
Yatagan is more suitable for light cavalry but still almost all eastern swords are single edged :)

Core eyalets cannot be called into wars, so it makes sense to only reign them in when planning to annex. Regular eyalets count only their own military strength for liberty desire as well.
