Although I'd like to know more about what happens inside a MiM program I found it just misleading to state that a MiM is just a year long or 10 academic months, I know you might have not known about it prior posting this vid but there are also some MiM with 2 academic year duration, just like you mentioned HEC paris has 2 year MiM...
Also I think it's just uk thing to have 10-12 month MiM, I personally find this a bit more intense and prefer atleast 15-24 month cycle why?? just because not only you're going to a foreign place and if you look at top MiMs most of them are at those European places where English is not the 1st language, thus so if I had to choose a MiM in europe I'd make sure I have time to balance my studies and also have time to get adjusted to foreign culture and language.
Yes, I should have stated that because I even looked at a 2 year MIM when i was applying but really just forgot. Thanks!
How many years did she do

That was so inspiring, I’am confusing between IBM and MBA , both in Europe,
Seriously really appreciate all the content you’ve been uploading recently!! 😊
yay! :)
I was looking for "MacBook Air vs MacBook Pro" videos. I have no regrets coming across this 😁.
LOL
hahah same here
Perfect video, I was exactly looking for something like this. Simple and clear. Thanks
omg another video! 🙏🏻 would love to see s video about your experience after your MIM. how did your work life and status change? did you feel it was worth it?
i need 30 mins vid! or PODCAST! luv ya when you explain. chill n 👍
Thank you so much for sharing! This is exactly what I was looking for. Great video!
glad it helps and thanks for watching! :)
Kchoi, Great Video. Another option for potential grad degree seekers is a Masters in Orginizational Leadership. I think this is somewhere between an MIM and MBA. I was going to persue this but ended up on the MBA track because it was an 18 month program vs a 2 year program. I would say an Orginizational Leadership degree would be a good option if you have an undergrad AND work experience in business diciplines like finance managment, supply chain, personnel managment etc...
this was so ✨relaxing and organized✨. brb binging your channel now
Thank you ☺️☺️☺️
Though I knew most of the info you brought, I found your clip extremely interesting. I don't know why, but please keep posting new clips, if you can. As myself, hoping to start a career as a consultant in korea, looking forward to see your success in your own career!!
Thank you Kristina, im a ME graduate, and this helped alot
Great videos! Very informative
Thank you so much!
Aww I’m glad this is helpful! Thanks for watching! :)
Thanks for this vid. I’m majoring in management with a marketing concentration. I hope it goes well.
Thanks ver much. Video is much helpful to differentiate between both programs
Love the vid! You should definitely touch on Industrial/Organizational masters programs if you can, just to give a comparison! Its an up and coming degree and it pretty similar to your degree in management in terms of learned content and career trajectory.
Interesting, thanks!
Avril Smith great point! I’m currently looking at both I/O psych programs and management programs and can’t decide which one would be more beneficial entering the consulting field since my bachelors is in psychology and art.
Thank you so much this is so useful and accurate ❤️😘
Very clear and informative. Thanks
Love ur content!
Very helpful. Thank you!
Aside from being informative and very helpful, I can't help but be distracted on how beautiful you are. Like okay, you're smart with a masters degree and drop dead gorgeous ❤️
Thank you so much!! Your videos are so helpful
thank you :))
Very knowledgeable and confident. Loved it! :)
thank you!!
Interesting! I had no idea the degree program existed - thanks for sharing and widening my knowledge about the industry!
Glad you learned something! :)
Hi Kchoi!!! I love your videos! I would like to know more about your experiences! In choosing a career and stuff!
All the best! :)
Thanks for helping me to decide what I wanna pursue for my masters degree 💛💛
Glad it helped!
I think she is so attractive and her voice looks like a song.
I'll be starting my MIM program from ESSEC Business School in France this year and this video is pretty accurate. ✌️
Hey dude congratulations! Have you researched about job scenarios after mim in France? How do people get jobs there? And how soon?
Thanks for this very informative video! I always wanted to get an MBA cause it could be useful for my desire to switch career, but after watching your video I guess a MIM would be more useful to me. It is always a pleasure and very educative watching your channel and looking forward to your next post. Take care and stay safe.
It all depends! MBAs are definitely more well-known and prestigious so that's a pro for that degree as well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@bykchoi Point well noted! I am still looking at it , also because I am trying to find a good program I can do part-time as my current work won't allow me to attend a full-time master. Thank you so much!

im so glad i found your channel today, i literally googled something around the lines of masters uk as an american and i was able to find your channel ! i'm going into my last year as a UCLA undergraduate and even though i'm studying abroad in Seoul this coming Fall 2019 i'm totally nervous about the next step in my life. i always wanted to pursue a masters abroad so this helps me understand it from another local's pov :)
Yay! Good luck and let me know if you have questions about getting a masters in the UK as an American :)
Great video, happy to see Warwick on the MBA ranking. Currently enrolled on their program.
Thanks for watching! :)
Good video.
In reality, many MIM last 2 years.
Hi dear, thank you for your information 🙏
exactly nice video thank you sis
If you want to study and MBA but you can’t afford or financially savvy, then I highly recommend UoPeople. It’s hard work but the MBA course was designed by MBA programme leads from Oxford, New York, and Wharton business school.
Thanks so much for making this! Did you end up staying in the UK after graduation? I'm an American thinking of doing an MiM in the Uk or Germany and would like to stay in Europe long term.
Glad to know some get in right after graduation but I may consider MIM since I want to be fresh from studying and finish my masters right away but getting work experience is good for experience and skills. I’m looking to masters and work abroad like asia
Hi, I would really apprieciate if you also talked about asters in PR and Advertising (not mba)
Hi Kristina, I am thinking about applying for graduate school. Although I was planning on getting my MBA, after I found your channel, I started researching more on MIM. My question for you is, if any employer sees that you have an MIM degree with maybe a year of experience, does the degree still bring some value towards the position of Management or Consultancy? or is MBA degree more beneficial? I have asked the same question to my advisor as well, and she basically asked me what my goals are. Currently my goals are to learn something new in Management and Business technology, and get a better paying position. What would you suggest?
Most MBAs in Europe are 1-year programs. Look at Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, RSM, Insead and HEC Paris
You are the cutest ☺️
I am doing a MIM from the Graduate School of Management with a CEMS MIM from the University of Cologne and they are both 2 years. I think the One-year MIM is a UK thing and not the rest of Europe and the world.
Interesting! Yeah, I think most UK and US MIM programs are 1 year.
@@bykchoi That might be true. I have seen a lot of MIM programs in the UK and they tend to be a year. Not only that in the UK, and the US many masters degree programs can be done in a year or a year and half whereas in the rest of the world it is usually 3 years. I am thinking about applying for PhD in the US and I realized unlike the rest of the world a PhD in the US is usually 4-5 years, which is 2 years longer than the average PhD in the rest of the world(2-3 years). It's really interesting though!
@@maynejnr1091 hey man. Please help me in knowing job scenario after getting Mim from Uk. How easy or difficult it is to get a job ?
thank you
Thank you
You should do a video on how your classes went in grad school for you despite majoring in English! Like I'm pretty worried about taking accounting classes without any knowledge of it. Really any videos will be helpful though:) Also thanks for uploading so much, it give me more of an idea of what I am getting into!
In general they went fine but that’s a great video idea! Thank you :)))
@@bykchoi yess!! Pls do a video on this!
Was it easy for you to get your consulting role even though you went to UCL? Would it have been easier to find a similar if not better role in UK/Europe because you graduated from UCL?
Omg I so love your accent :) it’s like a mix between a British and an American accent ❤️
Great video cleared my path. But I have just one doubt about the job prospects in UK after doing mim as I'm seeing to be reside there after my studies. Does this possible?
Hi Kristina, thanks a lot for sharing your experience!! Did you find it challenging to get a job in consulting in UK and US when you finished the degree? I heard some concerns about lack of local knowledge for a US person completing a MiM in Europe. Wanted to hear your opinion cuz I’m on the same boat haha!
I definitely think there’s a barrier in the US because US companies aren’t as familiar with the MiM! That’s why using your network or reaching out to recruiters directly always helps :)
Really like your video, can you provide some advice about how to decide your career, I'm now facing graduating and feel so confused about what to do in the future
Ahh thats such a difficult topic! For me, I did online research and talked to people who were in different careers I knew I was interested in to hear more. I sort of just picked a career field (PR) and went with it (did an internship, full-time job, etc). After a couple years I realized it wasn’t my ideal career choice so I took steps to switch. Sometimes you just have to try something and see if you like it - but have some basis or reason for trying it, whether it works with your degree or it’s just a personal interest of yours.
I love your voice so much, can you share with us how to learn English
AMAZING
An MBA from the University of Western Australia (one of the top 100 universities in the world) only costs AUD $59,700 and only takes 12-18 months to complete. It is also ranked in the top 100 universities globally for its MBA program consulting career placements for graduates. So in other words, if you graduate with an MBA from UWA, you're almost guaranteed to land yourself a consulting career.
Why study in the US and get ripped off for an MBA when you can just do it in Australia for cheaper?
I am 19 years old and doing a 3rd bachelors. I was searching for mim program and found that there are both 1 and 2 year degree program. Like in hec paris and it cost significantly more. I would like to know about the pros and cons of the one year and 2 year degree programme. Especially if your NOT from a business background.
Hi there..What is your thought on career prospects regarding undergraduate degree on bussiness administration? Plus, do i need to proceed postgraduate right away or should i work first? Im feeling that i want to go back to school after few years doing some odd jobs to better my prospects... Thanks in advance!
nice video, K Choi ..
You're so pretty ..
You're just so gorgeous
Great video! What do you use to film and edit? :)
Info is in the description box!
Hey kchoi. Have been following you for quite sometime now. Wanted to know how is the job scenario of UCL MiM grads with the visa issues?
Thanks for posting this! I am literally struggling to decide if a MBA is right for me, especially since it’s so expensive :(((. This was super helpful!
Glad it helped! :)
What is Masters of commerce and management?
Are there any cases where you can do both?
For example you graduate from an undergraduate program and pursue a MIM.
Then maybe you get into a firm and they sponsor your MBA
Can People Do MBA after Completing MIM
At first, I'm watching her videos for the tips and helpful information she's giving us in regards to consulting. Overtime.... she now became my crush omg looooooool
Your're really smart =)
Mam what are the subjects/Specification in MIM is entrepreneurship or economics available?
I really like your episodes .. especially your smile 😉

I am from Belgium and I will probably get a bachelor in social science and from their I can get a management master I don’t know if this makes sense but with our college system it does to me 😂
Hii, can u say me if I have done BBA and have 2 yrs of job experience then which is best for me mba or mim plzz reply
Hey Kristina, was it hard for you to find a job as a change management consultant with an mim?
I can't believe the US education system isn't more invested in MIMs.. They seem like a more inexpensive alternative and could definitely help with student debt.
how acca is perceived in uk / europe?
useful
Can we choose marketing specialization in General Msc Management?
May you please give me an idea about MiM UCL, how many of your batch mates got a job after MiM degree, and what's the average salary once can expect after UCL MiM program, and how difficult for international students to get a good job, in summary, I want to know the ROI?
You mentioned you did the MiM because you wanted to make a career change. Do you mind sharing what field you plan on switching to? Thanks
I switched from PR to consulting and i have a video on my channel about that if you want to learn more :)
Hey
Can i do MIM after MBA?
what are the reason you didnr choose mba?
Is there any age limit to get admission in good business schools of europe?
Hi, is master of science in management and master in management the same ?
how much salary you get when start your job after mim program?
Msc in international business or msc in management which is better scope in uk??
hello so means MBA have no thesis if so i would prefer to choose MBA right?
Hi Kchoi, thanks for the video! It was very helpful. May I ask how you described your motivation that you went for MIM instead of MBA? Because as far as I know you already had three-year professional experience before you went for MIM and that was a typcial work length for candidates of MBA. So how did you illustrate your motivation for MIM instead of MBA? Thank you!!!
Cuz I'm having the exact same situation..
I applied to MBA programs too but essentially my motives were the same either way because my amount of work experience was right in between whats normal for an MIM and an MBA :)
@@bykchoi Oh I get it. Thank you for the reply! So in the end how come you decided to go for a master's degree instead of MBA?
I have a video called “why I got my masters in London” that should explain it! :)
@@bykchoi Got it! Thank you Kchoi!
Hey, I want to ask what are the job prospects for MiM in Europe and UK...
I touched on job prospects in the video, and you can also usually see on specific programmes’ websites a list of companies that their students have gone!

HEC Paris is not located in Paris! Funny, isn't it?
Can i do both MIM and then MBA after doing job for few years....🤔
Yup you can
If you have an MBA with no work experience where would you start off in management consulting?
Did you get the answer to this
Hi kchoi! I currently have 14months work ex, and I plan to apply for MiM for fall 22' to schulich/other colleges in Canada. But my work ex would be 2+ after sept. I wish to apply to MiM and not MBA rn. Would it be advisable to leave my job for GMAT prep(for the above reason)? Please guide!
Hmm, I don't know what the specific requirements are for the programs you're applying to. I know that some programs have a maximum experience allowed, while for others (like the one I did at UCL), it doesn't matter how much work experience you have. My gut is that you shouldn't leave your job during the application process but it all depends!
If a person has no experience at all and would like to apply on MBA degree would that be impossible ??
and the right is not to apply on MBA ,just turn to MIM??
Hi, I wanted to ask how I can find a job/ company after my bachelor's degree which can help finance me to do my master's degree in london (since the costs are sooo high)
e.g. can i ask them at the beginning if they generally finance master programs for employees, given that i will come back to their company after my degree....
or do i have to secretly hope that they might offer me such option after having worked for them for a certain time?
thank you so much for this video!!
Some companies will have education assistance policies, so I think it’s fine to ask about them generically - but I don’t know if I would say specifically that you plan to leave in X years to get a masters and if the company will finance it. Hope that makes sense and helps!
@@bykchoi thank you very much
Can you just manage my life for me 🤦🏾♀️. I’m graduating very early with my bachelors in PR/Journalism and I want to go into consulting but I also want to try PR but I don’t know where to start lol
Congrats on graduating early! Do what interests you the most. It does seem like you’d be a good candidate for PR jobs because of your degree, but don’t be afraid to go for other types of jobs too. You won’t know what you like until you try it :)
kchoi thank you! I’m just intimidated about starting out! Would you mind making a video on working abroad and how to find those opportunities if you have any tips regarding that?
I’ve only had a part time job working abroad so don’t have too much personal experience to share :( but maybe I can bring my friends into it :)
kchoi I’d appreciate it! Even if you had tips for working remotely or on a contracted basis it would be nice! I’ve been looking into companies that would offer employees the chance to work remotely but it’s quite rare.
I have a question regarding this that if I want to dive into Product management job then which career should I have to opt MBA or MIM ?
Depends! Is this going to be your first job/are you going straight to grad school from undergrad? Do you want to switch careers? Probably an MIM makes more sense than an MBA, but I don’t know if an MIM is even necessary.
@kchoi you can be a career counselor
Hahaha aw 😅
