      @@docleadpill5556 Around the 1:45 mark in the 1964-05-21 episode with Barbara Rush, it was mentioned that Peter broke the record "a week ago, during the daytime Password". I haven't been able to find the actual episode to see it for myself, though.

    Where are tapes, or media of Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Montgomery? The best of friends and the greatest Password players, IMO. I’ve seen re-runs somewhere their of being adversaries.

    Carol is a quite funny. Men are more attracted to women who have a sense of humour. It doesn't matter what they look like. Laughter is better than sex.

      You're right, and I have read that Burnett was self- conscious of her looks. But in my opinion, she was a very good looking lady with so much personality, absolutely a "10".

    I notice in 1967 they were awarding less prize money--in previous years they gave $250 for the game instead of just $100.

      Ludden himself said there’s certain exceptions: like grandfather can be a clue for grandmother because the lexicon/prefix “grand” doesn’t carry root meaning and they’re entirely different entities.

      I've observed that the "normal" rules of play on PASSWORD were often relaxed or "bent" during the Lightning Round. The "referee" ( Dr. Goodwin) would occasionally allow two and three word clues during the Lightning Round.
      I miss Password; the show was too "brainy" for today's audience/contestants; and also would be thought too slow-moving. Although .... Jeopardy is a brain-game show, and immensely popular.

    WHY THE HELL DOESN'T SOMEONE STOP CAROLS DAMN GESTURES..SHE IS NOT A CHAMPION BUT A CHEAT. SORRY. I USED TO LIKE HER BUT I WAS A CONTESTANT ON PASSWORD AND I WAS A CHAMPION.WITH HER AND PAUL LYNDE. she was the same then and miffed because PAUL and I Upstaged her and we brought down the house with our humor...that is why you never see our shows they were a riot i guess she had them not able to be uploaded..she should stop babbling and cheating on this show,, and lost me as a fan.

      It's part of her personality to be exaggerating and expressive, and that was her character on her comedy shows, but that does interfere with the game. I'm sure a few people wonder why the producers or the people in charge didn't address that.
