Carol Burnett & Peter Lawford may be the two greatest password players of all time. This is like Federer vs. Nadal....
Peter Lawford was in it , to win it.
So was Carol Burnett! : )
And Betty White
It was so cute when he looked at the clock 🕰 to see if he had beaten his previous time !! Blessings from California. 🦊
Carol was told not to use anything but words.... so she cleverly sang the word "opera." Everybody loves her!
She sang the word "Aria"
These people were smart!
...Carol is a gift to humanity...
Thank you for posting this video!! Really enjoy watching them:)
Peter Lawford was fantastic at this and also adorable !!
Just watching all these vibrant clever beautiful people, most will be no longer with us 😢
I've watched a few of these and I'm really impressed with Peter Lawford. So cool and humble.
He really is. I'm so impressed myself. Handsome man that's not arrogant at all, is just sexy.
Carol Burnett is so intelligent, funny and cute. I love her.
I think she is a he....check out that Adam's apple 🍎! Yikes!!
@@az_gigi9045 That’s a huge psyop.
@@az_gigi9045 yes, you are a big yikes.
Got to love the beehive doos🤣😂💞
I love Password's bouncy little theme.
Bud had those Eugene Levi eyebrows !! I loved watching the expressiveness of them ! Especially on the word lard ! 🐼
Peter Lawford held the record for speed in the lightening round...twelve seconds!
I didn't realize that this was the episode where they talked about Peter Lawford and his 12 second lightening round...
Is that episode anywhere to be viewed?
Been searching for that episode, but no luck finding it.
@@docleadpill5556 Around the 1:45 mark in the 1964-05-21 episode with Barbara Rush, it was mentioned that Peter broke the record "a week ago, during the daytime Password". I haven't been able to find the actual episode to see it for myself, though.

This was a great episode, TY for sharing it. God Bless You & stay safe.
Lawfords quick response to "aria" ("that's three words") seemed awfully sharp.
Except it was a joke.😂
Carol is always so funny...
Carol Burnett is so bright! Her autobiography, "One More Time" is a good read!
You'd think they might have upped the dollar stakes a bit for the championship. I mean, I'm sure it was fun and all just to have the chance to go back a second time. But still...
Carol very funny, but has a look that she is truly interested in people, genuine.
Truly great lady
She is a treasure, and was made to play this game.
Where are tapes, or media of Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Montgomery? The best of friends and the greatest Password players, IMO. I’ve seen re-runs somewhere their of being adversaries.
Peter was amazing
This was broadcast at the start of the Summer of Love - be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!
Carol is a quite funny. Men are more attracted to women who have a sense of humour. It doesn't matter what they look like. Laughter is better than sex.
You're right, and I have read that Burnett was self- conscious of her looks. But in my opinion, she was a very good looking lady with so much personality, absolutely a "10".
Carol Burnett was scary smart as well as being bust a gut funny, nice, and a.hoisehold name. Such an intelligent and talented person.
Spellbound is not routinely used --- maybe Bewitched
Should have had Elizabeth Montgomery on for that one!!!
peter is divine
18:28 he got so excited LMFAO
Beluga for caviar
I notice in 1967 they were awarding less prize money--in previous years they gave $250 for the game instead of just $100.
I believe that they gave the $250 only for nighttime games.
how did carol get away with “land” for “island” or peter “contralto” for “alto”? did they change the rules?
Ludden himself said there’s certain exceptions: like grandfather can be a clue for grandmother because the lexicon/prefix “grand” doesn’t carry root meaning and they’re entirely different entities.
I've observed that the "normal" rules of play on PASSWORD were often relaxed or "bent" during the Lightning Round. The "referee" ( Dr. Goodwin) would occasionally allow two and three word clues during the Lightning Round.
I miss Password; the show was too "brainy" for today's audience/contestants; and also would be thought too slow-moving. Although .... Jeopardy is a brain-game show, and immensely popular.
Doctor Peter A. Goodman, editor of the Worldbook Encyclopedia was sick that day.
Allen's hair fore runner of Trumps.
I was thinking the guy from Flock of Seagulls (though not quite THAT extreme)
I'd have used crisco as well --- excellent
My first clue would have been “Bergman”
Todd Moser looks like Ben Stein
I wouldn't describe Carol as whimsical
Why
Dee Dee is gorgeous!
Yay for Husky!!
Dois dias depois do meu nascimento...wow!!!
Please translate, somebody...
@@randysills4418 Translation for the comment in Portuguese: "Two days after my birth . . wow!!"
Carol gave away "caviar" by her remark about "that's some breakfast." 🤷♀️
Enchanted, for God s sake...
people just let carols 2 or 3 word clues sip by unnoiced ,,not far..
The rules are relaxed for the lightning round.
Although Crisco is not lard. Crisco is vegetable shortening. Lard is animal fat.
¼
When did Carole have lard?
She spent her first seven years in Texas...
"Nom de plume" illegal!
She could have said her name for name.
No such thing as an Alaskan husky!! Huskies are Siberian, Malamutes are Alaskan, commonly made mistake.
Who the heck keeps pounding on the desk? Very annoying.
Carol Burnett just royally gets on my nerves. I wish she'd stop clowning and just play the game and win the contestant some money.
A hairdresser started on Carols hair and a barber finished it.
Funny! Perhaps she could've planted a tiny bow like Mary Kate's, on the front of her hair! NOT!!
WHY THE HELL DOESN'T SOMEONE STOP CAROLS DAMN GESTURES..SHE IS NOT A CHAMPION BUT A CHEAT. SORRY. I USED TO LIKE HER BUT I WAS A CONTESTANT ON PASSWORD AND I WAS A CHAMPION.WITH HER AND PAUL LYNDE. she was the same then and miffed because PAUL and I Upstaged her and we brought down the house with our humor...that is why you never see our shows they were a riot i guess she had them not able to be uploaded..she should stop babbling and cheating on this show,, and lost me as a fan.
NOME DE PLUME IS THREE WORDS UGH
She likes to win yes and she does cheat .
Wow... it's just a TV Game show. Nice that you had the opportunity to be on it. Long time ago, right?
It's part of her personality to be exaggerating and expressive, and that was her character on her comedy shows, but that does interfere with the game. I'm sure a few people wonder why the producers or the people in charge didn't address that.
