Regarding the supposed contradiction between selfishness and teamwork, keep in mind that Ron is a fan of Ayn Rand, and that one her core concepts is 'Rational Self Interest'. As in it can be rational to work as a team in pursuit of selfish goals. For example it was in his rational self interest to always look out for April because keeping her around helped keep idiots away.
I never seen a Tv character that reminds me so much of my own father. The moustache is identical, they are both straightforward and blunt, both love to do real work with there hands, would rather do some real work when given a chance, only difference is my dads a military officer and he like the government but is a conservative and doesn’t like more taxes, more safety nets and all that he believes if you can’t swim you sink and the government shouldn’t be stepping in to put a life vest on everyone. Only difference is I actually like Ron but not so much when it comes to my father DON
I don't think Ron would like your dad much either. Libertarianism and standing professional armies don't exactly go together. If anything he'd prefer his money being stolen for safety nets over stolen to kill people.
Ron is an unusual character. I wildly disagree with his political ideals, but I can sure as hell respect him as a person. He ends up a good father, he gets a good business going, he's a self sufficient and very strong character with legit good morals. Also, let's be honest, I think we all want a good Meat Tornado.
@@objectivelycorrect8338 Dude, I literally respected the guy, you're really just gonna use a meaningless buzzword to note that I like how much of a good man he is?
