- Our brain starts shrinking after the age of 40-50, which is a natural process. Gradually it weakens the brain power. This is a natural phenomenon where some get it early, and some late. This is called Senile Dementia.
The onset of Senile Dementia can be delayed but can’t be prevented as it’s inevitable. By consuming certain foods it can be delayed.
One of the most important foods is Omega fatty acids which includes small fishes like - Sardine and Anchovy. Its capsules are also available for those who can’t consume the fish. Consuming it daily is one of the key factors in keeping your brain healthy. The strongest antioxidant in keeping your nerves from being damaged are Vitamin E & C, which can be consumed by fresh vegetables and fruits - blueberry, almond, badam, green tea (polyphenols - controls nerves from being damaged to an extent), grapes (grape juice, wine - helps in rejuvenating the nerves and controls its damage to an extent).
In France people consider red wine as important as water, and studies have shown that the onset of dementia in those areas is considerably lower.
Thus with the help of these foods, we can also delay the onset of Senile Dementia
