Great shots! I love my K-3 Mono! It’s a great camera!
Some amazing shots Lee!!!!
Lee
I decided after Pentax introduced the new Pentax 17 to repair my Spotmatic SP2 film camera somebody gave me a rolll of film and the roll was blank when I had it developed so I did a more thorough inspection of the camera and discovered the light seals needed replacement. A trip to Walmart for supplies I put new light seals and a mirror bumper in the camera. I ended up with camera when I bought a kit that had Takumar lenses a 35mm3.5, 50mm1.4 and a 135mm3.5 all the lenses had the original hoods , the kit had a full set of filters , extension tubes , A 2X teleconverter and a 70- 300 5.6 zoom lens I got the whole kit for $ 100.00 I figured the lenses alone were worth what I paid for the whole kit
Reading my mind Lee
Lee, thank you for showing me this ;) I appreciate it! I am convinced. The body costs 3k and then a single lens I found was about 1k. It looks like a pentax medium format body which is weird for it. Can you advise on what lenses to buy? I want a normal 28mm or 35mm equivalent, also hoping there are some 1.2 or 1.4 lenses. I don't care if the lens is all manual as long as it is weather sealed. Thank you again!
probably a silly question, but how does the Monochrome edition K3 MKIII differ from shooting Black and White on the standard K3 MKIII?
oh, well duh. It's got several enhancements that make it superior to the black and white mode of the standard K3 Mkiii.
Thinking about doing a BW KF vs the K-3 monochrome should be a fun video.
@@MechnoSferatu that TRUE BNW sensor has sensitivity that helps in low light. And captures pure BNW without having a bayer sensor. There will be better dynamic range and better tonal quality of the BNW image.
You can literally achieve the same with post processing
@@flohmin true accept for the low light senstivity of that native BNW sensor. Depends on what you are taking picture of
