- Hi, this video shows you how to setup multi room audio using Amazon Echo and 2 Echo Dots. I show the initial setup and also some of the things that doesn't work like Spotify and Bluetooth Speakers. This is a great feature if you are having a party and you want the same music playing in each room.

I like your video it was very helpful. I was wondering if with a Bluetooth speaker when it disconnects can you not not use a hardline wire instead or would it still disconnect. I didn’t know if I should buy the extra wire or not.

I recently bought two amazon echos during prime day, and though I love them and Alexa I found the help through the app less than satisfactory in helping me set up. I watched this video and followed the directions and everything started working as it should. Huzzah! Hey folks, make sure to mute YOUR own Echo, or it will respond every time Vince says "Alexa" your unit will respond

I had that happen while watching Alexa videos
Also once I was listening to the regular radio and a commercial came on for heart radio using Alexa and she started playing the station randomly.

I've just brought 2x Gen 3 Echos to be attached and to use as Mulit room sound, I've attached the 2x Gen 3 but can not play music from main unit to the Echo 3! Any ideas and help please, thanks

Is there a way to set different default volumes for each echo?
Ie. I have 3 echo dots in my living room - 1in the front connected to a 2.1 speaker system/subwoofer via aux in front, and 2 in the back (for wireless surround sound for $20 each).
I'd like 2 rear speakers to be quieter than the front echo by default (e.g. when I say "turn it up/down", the different volumes stick)
Cool... I didn't think it was possible to do it with 2 second gen echo dots, but you can.. and not have to use the main Alexa device.. very cool thanks...

Excellent! The Bluetooth connection drops out when making a phone call too ( Canada in my case) They haven't resolved the issue yet and I wonder if they are aware about it at all.. I have tweeted Amazon Canada and USA about this issue and I will wait what they will say about it I will let you know when I get an answer from them. Keep making your great videos, they are very useful.

I am planning on buying one of these or a google home. I'm trying to play my kids lullaby music in 2 separate rooms, which I have downloaded from RUclips, so I can have it on repeat. Am I able to use Bluetooth on these and connect it the same way by grouping them together? I hope this makes sense.

I have a question, which I have been trying to search for an answer on the web and coming up empty. Is it possible to connect(sync)an Amazon Echo Dot(2nd Gen.)to an Amazon Echo(2nd Gen.)with 2 different accounts(registrations), but in the same household?

Just change the language to English UK in your Echo Settings
It would be nice if the Alexa dot could be connected to a device. Via Bluetooth and still be able to play on multiple speakers throughout the entire house or apartment on the different dots? For example I have a tablet and in order to play music on my tablet I have to connect it to the dot VIA Bluetooth? It would be nice if I could make my music player on my tablet or phone to use my Wi-Fi network to play from my music player on my device on multiple dots?
Some times I just want music playing in one room instead off all 3 rooms in my house, how do I do this?
I think just don't set up a group, or if you have a group, don't tell it "everywhere." Just speak to the one unit.

it didnt work, I wanted to but I think they made it not work on purpose so you have to buy more echo devices instead.

Hi, I have 1 echo and 2 dots, after add them together as a group, they can play fm radio together, but not the music. Is that because I just have one amazon music unlimited? Do you buy 3 amazon music unlimited or you buy a amazon music family ?

It appears you still can't play Spotify in Multi room mode UNLESS , you have amazon music unlimited!! Had I known that, I probably wouldn't have purchased another Echo!!
