Was gonna come on here and type something mean but learned you were new to this stuff, appreciate your humility and humbleness by posting this, best to just shake that mess off and keep on fishing, like ole boy said in previous comment ;; if you boat long enough your bound to run into some mistakes , good news this mistake only hurt pride and nothing further

I do this when I launch to make sure the straps are doing their job.

I've found from personal experience that it works much better if you take the straps off BEFORE launching

always love it when you see grown men afraid of water. It's a boat and it floats on water. When it rains the top of the boat gets wet with water. Fish are in the water. You drink water. you shower in water. Life is so much easier if you just step in the water. Your feet are not going to melt. You have crocs on, and they are waterproof. If you are wearing socks and crocs you should not be in public anyways let alone on a boat.

@@Thejuicewithdrjfishing best part is I did the same thing years ago. But my son was so eager to go fishing he jumped in and undid them right on the spot. Now that he is older, I probably couldn't pay him to do it again. You did just fine. I have seen WAYYYYYY worse. But I did see something after I watched the video again. Did that guy backing in to unload at the end bite you in the ass for using the center of the ramp and pinching him over?

Nah he was a good sport. I was there so early I didn’t expect anyone on!

You boat long enough, and it will happen to you. At least there wasn't 6 guys waiting to launch.

Hardly a "disaster" but I've seen even seasoned pros do this. Pays to have a checklist. I've forgotten things before then caught them with a checklist, even if just a mental one. Use it religiously
