This is the most helpful video I've ever come across. Thank you
Happy to be of help! :)
this was the episode I've been waiting for thanks so much for all this crafting info. I hope you do go into more details later too. loving the LP evilchrono thanks again!!
I cover lots of crafting over the course of the LP. There should be lots of information here! Hopefully it helps! :)
@@EvilCronos13 awesome! You rock man.
Dang dude your info is top notch
Thanks! :)
I actually got the Gatling gauntlets on accident while trying to get one of your other ones of things your crafting this video
yeah there is a lot of overlap with a lot of the item creation. To be honest, I wish they would have spelled things out a little more and made it easier to know what you were making instead of having to guess in the dark at everything, but this is what we got
@@EvilCronos13 yeah I probably agree just a question bar are you planning on playing any of the other Star Ocean games like Star Ocean the Last Hope Star Ocean 5 and Star Ocean Divine Force and the remake of Star Ocean 2 are you thinking about doing any Let's Plays of those
@@romgamersly1380 A couple of months ago I played through last hope for the first time with the plan of doing a let's play...however, the plot was so bad that it felt like fanfiction, the character were as flat as paper, and it was one of the least enjoyable games I've ever played. So instead of just hating on it during the LP, I scrapped the LP instead.
I do own star ocean integrity And faithlessness, but I won't be doing an LP of that anytime soon as I haven't played it yet. The new so2 remake looks good, though with all they are adding, I question why they didn't just make a new game instead. If they were going to change that much, why not come up with a new plot and characters as well?
I don't know if I'll LP that remake. My typical style of LP is to do everything I can in a game. That style doesn't usually work as well with brand new releases as there isn't enough information about them yet. I won't be doing an LP of that remake anytime soon. I've got a large backlog right now and my motivation isn't very high lately for new games so it has been slow going.
@@EvilCronos13 okay I understand that with the last hope it's not the best game in the series and to be honest the only reason I was asking if you were going to play a Star Ocean 2 remake that's coming out it's a see if you're going to do like a blind playthrough of it because it's is supposed to be somewhat the same game with some new stuff added like having a holiday game looks new, somewhat new combat system it's nice to see someone who actually played the original who and play that game if I have that game Peoria and I've never played the second game before
I have an of the original star ocean 2 on the channel already. I'm not planning on doing the remake right away, but that may change depending on how I feel about it as time goes on. No promises for now@@romgamersly1380
Got a Radiant Sword for Fayt from 2000+ Fol and succeeded on 3rd attempt.
Higher damage than Searing Sword but havn't compared it with Holy Sword as it was too expensive to buy earlier in the game.
Cool! I can't remember my reasons for why I made the weapons that I made in the LP. I probably weighed the chance to create with how long I would use it for. But I often go for the strongest as long as it's feasible to get it, I wonder why I didn't this time. Anyway, good job getting something better :)

And thank you for your video. I was clueless about the workshop and had no idea about the facial expressions indicating success or failure which is critical to understanding how it works. :)
@@ghostbehindasolidshock1955 I'm happy to help! The item creation can definitely be a little obtuse, so I'm glad I could help and explain it
Honestly I just wait to get to Aquarius and make a side stop to Suferio and kill those statue monsters and with the triple Fol I was able to afford the Holy Sword plus Nel and Cliff’s weapons. Those monsters give 1,600 to 2,600 fol.
Yeah, it's a side dungeon so you can easily do it whenever works best for you. I often like to show things the first time we have access to them or when it's most convenient, but there is no reason that says you have to do it at the same time
@@EvilCronos13 Right I get that. I really appreciate this video though because I’m finally starting to grasp it because of this. So thanks!
This might help me because I never did invent stuff.
You can make it through the main game without needing to do it, but if you want to tackle the post game content, you will need to do some item creation for sure! hopefully this video helps :)
I really enjoyed in this game recruiting everyone and commanding them to stop inventing things so I could be at the top of this negligible board.
lol I was always too lazy to tell most of them to stop!
13:51 it sounds like the voice actress Christina Vee (the voice of miraculous ladybug) but it looked it up and it wasn’t 😮
Say, did you somehow defeat the final boss to this game? I’m having trouble dealing with Luther on his “Insanity Prelude” part. If you did, how can I do it to avoid any instant death?
This let's play goes all the way to the end of the story and then into the bonus dungeons. If you look through the playlist, you will find where I show off the final boss. It will be easier to understand from watching what I did there than it would for me to try and type it out. Good luck!
Making things in this game was hell. a waste of money if it doesn't work to
You have to know when to what which items and make sure you save ahead of time so you don't waste too much money. However, none of this is even possible without using a guide because otherwise it is nearly impossible to know what you are making with a given party and a given number of FOL.
Got the searing sword on first try
Aw, was hoping you'd do even more crafting. Oh well. Question; if you can make basically infinite money making Rune Blades, why not just make a bunch of Rune Blades, sell them, and then buy the Airyglyph weapons for Nel and Fayt? Too gamey?
***** There will be some more crafting later in the game once we get some more inventors and get access to better items.
You can basically make as much money as you want with Rune Blades and with other items later on that you will be able to make much more reliably. The reason I don't go for the other weapons right now is because it's not really needed. With the upgrades that I already have, I don't really need the next set of weapons. It's also time consuming to use this method of money farming. I'll talk about and demonstrate some other methods of money farming later in the game when it becomes much easier.
Item Creation was always the worst for me.
It is one of the most tedious things in the entire game for sure. But it is also interesting what you can get out of doing it at different points throughout the game.
More making stuff !!!
