Despite both 1.0 and 1.8 have healthy rice function, I noticed that the Slow Cook function is missing from the 1.0 Liter model. Why is it missing? Is it because the smaller size cannot fit in more functions?
This rice cooker is perfect! I use it only for me ruclips.net/user/postUgkxviiltW7NlHbp_VL_bLbIkbLAvILVhnia and sometimes me and my friend so the small size is really great for counter space since we never need to make all that much. I have been using it now for about 2 months and it still works perfectly. I use it for both rice and vegetables (better for harder vegetables like green beans and carrots, it made my broccoli way too smoosh-y for my taste). It keeps your rice on keep warm automatically which I really like, and I’ve used a few of the settings, flash rice, white rice, brown rice, and steam, and they all work super well for me, although I don’t like smooshy rice so I’ll usually use flash rice. It’s super easy to clean either in dishwasher or hand wash, and it’s pretty easy to get rice out of the grooves by where the container comes out. I assume this one will last me a long time but if I ever need another I will definitely be getting this one again!
Im asian. The dowell rice cooker low sugar mode needs more water since it is not submerged to the water. If you try the regular mode it should be 1 :1 ratio
This is the best presentation yet of this particular product. The use of the word "sugar" in these toshiba rice cookers is wrong and misleading as rice has no sugar. "Low carbohydrate" rice cooker or "carbohydrate reducing" rice cooker is more appropriate. It is also suspect that the comments section of other toshiba "low sugar" rice cooker videos are disabled. there is something toshiba is not addressing.
Rice has sugar. For every 100grams of rice, there is 0.1g of sugar. And I'm pretty sure the company is referring to rice being highly glycymic that causes spikes to ones blood sugar. Common sense.
u should submerge the rice a bit with the water, not the same as in the video. Depends on the rice grain as well, sp adjust accordingly, but other brands suggest to have the water level a bit above the rice grain.
Me gustan las cosas Japonesas, son geniales ❤😊

I know what you are trying to say, but in some countries there are no words for “ carbohydrates “ so they just use the word like sugar/glucose,etc.
Carbs turn into sugar so it may be why they address it this way
@@foreverlovesophie so it should say "low carb" rice cooker.

@@ronage6514 rice has no sugar, it's carbohydrates which the body converts to sugar.
Do I have to remove the excess water to keep in WARM mode?
Sure
Some find the "low sugar/carbohydrate rice" to be firmer and harder in texture, taste too dry. Have any users find that?
