A friend of mine had played "Mother" by IDLES, and I liked that song, but it wasn't until IDLES' From the Basement set randomly popped up in my recommendations and I checked it out that I fell in love. This whole set is amazing.
Thanks so much. I watch the rest of it, and I have to say my mind was goddamn blown. I’m really impressed by these guys. Seams are doing something that’s really original.
I subbed just because you tried Idles. Do it again. Since you prefer live, do Beechland Ballroom or Never Fight A Man With A Perm live from Philly. WAR is a great one. Danny Nedelko, Heel/Heal, Lover…tons and tons of classics on all of their albums.
Dude where are you? Hope everything is good! Need more reactions to the rest of the Idles from the Basement tracks, especially 'the wheel' and 'beachland ballroom'
To clarify the song is about an accident Joe *almost* had while high and he almost hit a bike. According to him The song is a metaphor for how lucky he is to still be alive after years of substance abuse. The entire Crawler album is about Joe’s 15 year fight with substance abuse
Nice to see you put into words exactly how I felt the first time I heard this idles song , I recommend you trying out a band called King Kong company 👌
This whole set from the basement by IDLES was absolutely AMAZING. The song Meds from this show was my fav
Car Crash for me, but it’s an epic set 😉
The same session, The Beachland Ballroom is one of the most incredible live performances I have ever seen. Watch it at least once a week!
Maybe that shall be my next!
The way he screams "damage, damage, damage" in that song is so therapeutic. I scream it with him.

The openning before they really get into it, reminds me of Massive Attack.
This "From The Basement" vid was also my introduction to these guys. Incredibly powerful, happy you felt quite similar about it.

This is an album opener and the storm is the next song. Incredible song, album and band.
Love your channel! Anesthetize live from Tilburg - Porcupine Tree is an eye opening experience.
I get strong Portishead and Massive Attack vibes from this

Got it. Makes a lot of sense. I have this album queued up to listen to on a long ride home in a few days. Can’t wait.
Thanks for the knowledge.

Car crash from this show is awesome
Digging the content but dang the gate on your mic signal is whack, it's quite distracting :-) Thought it was worth mentioning
Working on that. Sorry about it.
personal preference - limit your pauses and capture a bunch of thoughts in the pauses you do take - it takes away from getting into the music
Song is nice, idea is creative but guitar players totally suck
