i have never seen that trick of biting a snakes tail to get them to release...wtf dude thats the best copy of animal behavior being used to affect animal behavior.....that is some serious next level animal psychology and understanding of animal behavior. ive used similar techniques with dogs, that use a dogs own personality, sex and breed to modify techniques for training. biting a bitty dog and holding them down on the ground to they calm down, is an example if using animal behavior to curb animal bahavior in a more desirable way, or having a dog that jumps alot or is big and agressive when anwsering the door, u teach the dog to lay down and show its belly when someone comes into the house or u come home..works better with female dogs as that is a way to pose submissively to a pack leader, placing u in the alpha position etc...u used a defensive response by biting the snake to get it to release u on its own....i thought id seen it all 50 years old, owned reptiles all my life from turtles to monitors, was a vet asst. for 3 years and worked in several pets shops growing up and never seen that trick used by anyone else in the industry....seriously impressed...and im a little high lol
@@ReachOutReptiles looking at it like that yes😅 but it’s a bit more complicated with cats cause they don’t mistake you for food usually 🍖 Either way biting the cat back isn’t a solution we use when a cat decides to bite. Sorry, I saw that guy talking about dogs and thought I might add cats in the mix in case some people got the wrong idea 😕(some people think it’s a thing) You can’t treat snakes, cats and dogs the same way cause they don’t think alike🐍🐈🐩 What I know about snake behavior comes from Snake discovery, Clint’s reptiles, Nerd and a few more channels I’ve discovered because of Snake Discovery so I’m not an expert by any means. I’m just not sure I understand why the snake let go after you bit it back! Could you explain a bit more?😺
You asked if they miss you. Up until last week I’d probably say no. But I had just had Goldberry on my wrist on the day I got her and had my phone in my other hand watching your live. As soon as Garrett spoke, she zoomed onto my other hand and on the phone. It very much seemed like she recognized your voice. I’ve played some ROR videos during our first socialization sessions too for her after that. She’s settling in so nicely on her own but that reaction was amazing to me.

It’s the pulse she felt around your neck. She felt the pulse, went for the bite and squeeze, thinking you were prey. It’s instinct for a boa or python.
Brilliant video! You can see the love and passion on your face and as a breeder myself, I felt the emotion and internal questioning you were going in through in this video! Great work!
The bite-the-tail-to-make-it-let-go thing works. Worked for me. Even looked like the same snake. Super dwarf albino het snow I got from Jay Brewer about 10 years ago, the last time he showed up at Tinley. I learned here from your video maybe 3-4 years ago.
This is too funny 😅 just a few weeks ago, a kayuadi female i got from you guys years ago, who is one of my absolute sweetest animals, did this same thing! She had missed a feeding because she was in shed, so she was extra hungry, and did that same slow, nose first then bite thing.
That seems most likely, i figured must have anery in it. 5min was where it actually was, not sure where it got 7 from 1st time. Was the other one that didn't try to eat you a marble or just wild type with crazy pattern?
Has a snake ever gone number 2 while you've done that bite trick to let them go? I've thought about doing it before, but I hesitate for that reason lol.
The feeder you rubbed on the back of your neck. It's no coincidence they was recording and she just so happen to get to a spot and bite you. But I guess it's good content for those that don't know!

Do not use this technique with a cat, unless you wanna damage your relationship with it…🙀
