    We're happy to have met you and Garrison at our little place in Texas! Love to see and be a part of improving keeping for these amazing animals, and exceptional job on the video and setup 👏

    I tried building my own pvc rack and that stuff is expensive as hell! It’s cheaper to just buy a rack from a professional. Obviously referring to animal plastics etc. but these racks are absolutely beautiful. Small dark racks are moving into the past. People care about the animal having more space and light for their snakes.

    Very stylish and functional. I like that they are able to have a wide view of whats going on outside their tub

    Nice to finally see semi-arboreal racks on the market! I hope they do well so there are more sizing options in the future. Great design!

    These are amazing cages. I’d love one for my hoggie. Would use for my boas but an amazing option for a smaller snake or lizard.

    They make outstanding enclosures. I have 2 of their Ascents for my iguanas ( B. Pectinata) and have to say the best enclosures I have ever purchased

    Be careful with those light splitters. Idk what the amperage rating or the draw on the lights are etc but stuff like that has led to overheating/fire before for people, even just with lights, as they can short or end up taking too much current or something. Probably is fine, but just monitor the temps of the wires/splitters and always use surge protectors of course (which if tripped obviously may lead to heat loss if the heat is on it too but as long as checked daily the animals would be fine for the short time, or it could be rigged to an alarm too over wifi or something) The racks themselves are awesome! Love the extra vertical for boas too! Heck a House Snake could spend its whole life comfortably in there lol.

    If I had the $$ to do something like this for my reptile room I would in a heartbeat! .. This looks amazing and I think it would be just as successful for ball pythons as it is for you with the reticulated pythons. What I like the most is the lighting as that allows you to see inside the units without having to open them up. Can I ask what is the gap spacing at the top since you have the lid off? is it 1/16th curious as I see some of your bins have holes in them and others do not so I was wondering how is overall circulation within each bin? I would love to perhaps come down and visit your facility sometime as I think it would be amazing!
    Great video !

      Oh, I’m sure Ball Pythons would love this. I tried to get as close to zero gap as I possibly could, but that’s adjustable with those runners on the bottom. For us to have added side ventilation discourages the snakes from trying to rub their faces on the top corners and escape.

    This is what I, as a general antirack person, mean when I say that racks can be done correctly. All the benefits of a rack without the potential ethical concerns that often get brought up. Truly innovative. With a product like this out there I don't think there's anything anybody can say to justify the more "traditional" rack setup (aside from when it's temporary i.e. quarantine, hatchling, and growout).

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  9 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed. And, these actually are our growouts- but I get what you’re saying

    How long can a SD be in one of these before they need a larger enclosure? What material did you use for the perch?

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  9 месяцев назад

      Most of them for the first year, but pure SDs (or really small bloodlines), more like 2 years. We used PVC sheets cut down for perches- just stuff we had laying around

    Those are awesome, I've always had my eye on the FocusCubed habitats. Was there a bulk price decrease for purchasing that many at once? Or is a rack this size going to run $4000-5000+?

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  9 месяцев назад +1

      They might be willing to work a discount for bulk, but I’d reach out to them to get details. We put a link in the description. But yes, these racks were very expensive to purchase. However, they are saving us quite a bit of money and time on maintenance already, so that will catch up quick!

      Using the same tubs with our own DIY rack system, we were previously taking longer to clean, and spilling the water a lot more, which obviously is bad for the snakes. These racks save me about $30/ week in $$$ spent on care. Adds up quick in our situation.

    love the company and people but theyre a little high for the average keeper. again i love the people they are super cool and the product is banger all around. just not for your average hobbyist. although as i sit here i guess if you only had a couple animals or a single animal i could argue why not go all out on a focus cubed setup so i can see both sides i guess. in the end i guess if youre larger its worth it, if your super small its worth it to spoil the animal but if your in the middle it might be a little too much cost. just me thinkin out loud. love the vid, very well done. Big love to the Haudes!

    Yall are insane in these comments. $290 per animal!? That's just throwing money away. I can buy a used ARS 5540rack with heat, wheels, and tubs with built in water bowls for $1300! That's 40 adult Ball pythons housed to peek industry standard. Yall are nuts. If yall want to throw your money away I'll give an account to throw it in lol. Wow

    • @ReachOutReptiles
      @ReachOutReptiles  8 месяцев назад +2

      Only insane by Ball Python breeder standards- in a “beauty is skin deep” type philosophy. Don’t get into fish- folks enjoy spending $290 or more for a .99 animal, and still get great enjoyment from it. Having enjoyment from more interaction/ elaborate husbandry isn’t insane, it’s just different from the “collector” mentality.
