That Newcastle game, they brought a lot that day - they certainly didn't always, but that was one of the biggest away crowds at OT in that era.
God bless Jimmy Greaves
Stapleton & Albiston having the match of their lives in the first game against Liverpool. What a gem!
So glad I found this
people rave about how Greeonwood is brilliant with both feet. We can see Robson, Whiteside, Hughes, Hoddle, Albiston, Wilkins, Stapleton showing just how normal being 2 footed was in the 1980s
Had this on video. Must have watched the first game 100 times. Thanks for the great upload.
love that early 80s away strip 👍
This is fantastic. Me and my dad can't wait to watch this. My dad's favourite era. He asks is there any full matches/footage like this from the 70s
Check out my "Six of the Best from the 70's" video on my channel.
@@ClassicManUtdVideos I've watched that. Great video. Me and my dad love watching footage from the 70s and 80s. That was my dad's era of the Stretford end
God brilliant times men just getting on with it when you could tackle
The Manchester Derby was not shown in the UK therefore was on Big League Soccer
You have a fantastic collection, man.
I went to school with malcolm brown the Newcastle right back, and I was at the game, he was subbed at half time and never seen again. Nice lad though.
Interesting fact that neither Mike Duxbury or Marco Van Basten were physically able to grow sideburns.
football was much better to watch in 1980s, not like the clustered traffic jam these days
2:50 ball hitting the post and not the net was probably Paul Pogba's fault!
Is it me or was football much more exciting before the "possesion game" took over? I'm not just talking about united, I mean watching any game today apart from the odd exception, feels like watching paint cry
Reds everywhere at City
always was mate, them wankers still cant fill it themselves
