Massive respect for Lee. To go through all this and it sounds like hell on earth, and have the strength to come back is inspiring to say the least

Lee was an inspiration to me growing up, and a true Villa legend. I think he's brave coming out and talking about this, and I think he's got a really positive future going forward. I think he provides a unique voice in football and think he'd be immense as a regular pundit.

I always thought lee was a bit of a tosser because of the media but my opinion has changed on him massively over the past decade . He’s a really humble guy and a true villa legend . UTV

Lee my heart goes out to you💚👏..to having everything and then losing it all.. especially the house you bought for Mam..that was so difficult..you deserve to share your story, you have come through so much man and you were a very good player too..I hope the FA set something up in that capacity and you would be perfect for that position..Best of luck to you Lee..there is so much going on in people's lives underneath and they need to go get the right help..Don't let it eat away by keeping it inside or doing drugs to cope because it only lets to one place darkness!

Lee you are amazing to go through what you have and tell the story, I admire you very brave man & you are now a great pundit/commentator for sky. A job that you so deserve and one that you are very good at.
Stay strong my man, I’m currently battling with my own problems looking after my mum who has Alzheimer’s.
Well done Lee I admire your upfront honesty.
    Jimmy

The fact he was a footballer doesn't make any difference, he's a man who went from having everything to having nothing. Everybody could find themselves in the same position, and without good people around us we could all go under. Never under value your family and especially your wife/partner, they're the ones who have your back, whether you have money or have nothing. Marry the woman who would be happy living in a caravan with you, they are gold dust.

The same thing happened to me all my pension and savings after 45 years of work were lost due to poor investments. Never trust any independent financial advisor ever.I had a financial advisor freind and i always remember what he said to me.Just put your money in the halifac or Barcleys bank
