Imelda Staunton is a class act. So is Lesley Manville and Jonathan Pryce. Period.
I was blown away by the acting of Imelda Staunton in episode 6. Deserves all awards
I’m obsessed with Lesley Manville. And right now I am recovering from episode 8 of season 6. She did an amazing portrayal. Someone give this woman an award for this performance!
Imelda Staunton is INCREDIBLE portraying Queen Elizabeth. She's by far the best of the actresses who play her on the Crown.
Imelda Staunton a national treasure and a brilliant actress 👏
I’ve always liked Imelda Staunton’s acting
The aspect of control over their emotions is what intrigues me about the royals. As someone who is particularly emotional, i have a deep respect and admiration for the ability to hold emotions back.
Idk, I feel it can go too far. Royals are also supposed to connect with their people, and too much stiff upper lip can obstruct that.
I'm Norwegian. At a memorial for the Utøya massacre in 2011, our King wasn't able to hold his tears back, even though he meant too. I don't think we've ever loved him more. Showing that he felt the same as we did in that moment was so important. He empathized, and isn't that what Princess Diana did, too, that made her so popular?
There should clearly be certain amount of control, but being emotional can actually be a very healthy thing. If you're in touch with it, you process it. If you also show it to others, they can help fulfill whatever emotional need it is you're having. Emotions are also meant to be signals to our surroundings. (I'm a psychologist.)
@@monmothma3358 i definitely agree that it can go too far. I mainly meant in tense conversations, to remain strong and critical thinking. I struggle with that aspect of emotional intelligence. Indeed there were aspects of their lives where the lack of emotions was detrimental to wellbeing and health of relationships. Thank you for your point of view! (Im in uni to be a psychologist right now! Finishing my bachelor’s then starting my masters) cheers to you this new year! 🫶
This season of the crown is like a box of fine chocolates. Excitement is intense!
I love Imelda Staunton.
Excellent actors! 🏆🥇
Thank you for your hard and beautiful work! 👍❤️
I have binge watched The Crown and Cobra Kai on alternate days
I ended up having a dream of Diana engaged in a hand to hand combat with Camilla
And there's Prince Andrew doing a kip flip
And I remember an image of Charles and Diana in a luxury boat and in a Japanese Kenpo stance about to bright it on
Me gusta la serie. Estupendos actores y actrices
Imagine having Umbridge as our Queen 😂😂🤣🤣
Dolores is a legend
😅
I AGREE !
There was me thinking Queen Elizabeth II was a much loved matriarch who made her family laugh with her dry sense of humour and hilarious impressions then along comes Imelda Staunton and transforms her into a complete misery.
Jonathan Pryce should wear more insoles, he is too short for Phillip.
she looks like Claire Foy
I don’t like the new cast in Season 5. 👎
Anyone think that "stiff upper lip" contributed to the barbarities of colonialism? Just a thought.
I think you are all way too kind on here. Imelda might be a good actress, but is a total fail in her role as the Queen. She ruined season 5. Totally wrong choice.
She is incredible..you should consider the fact that it might be the script..she was perfect on her part
You’re in the minority here pal. She’s amazing. Acting is NOT easy and the way these actors and actresses studied their respective roles is commendable at the very least. That’s even before we mention their performances, which were also remarkable.
