    Very nice! Great video. I’m going to do this project this winter. The only thing I’d do different is prime the board prior to painting.

    I'd love to see this after a couple years.

      It's been one year and one very harsh winter and it still looks new!

    If you start by finding the center of your board and work out, evenly on both sides of that point with drawing out your grid. You will then have an even border all the way around.

    Pulling the tape off slowly is a great idea.

      It's the most nerve racking part. So happy it worked! Frog Tape is the way to go.

    Did you say you used MDO? Did you prime?

    Really loved this. I have recently purchased a home with a large black board and batten wall and thought a barn quilt would look great up there. So I began looking for ideas and your video is perfect, start to finish. Do you get harsh winters? I'm curious to know how it held up year round.

      So happy you like it! We do get harsh winters, and it’s holding up very well!

    What clear coat did you use?
    What did you use to hang out on house?

    • @salomeacreshomestead
      @salomeacreshomestead  Год назад

      We used an exterior spar urethane for the clear coat, and we used deck screws to hang it on the house.

    What thickness is the board you used?
