How many ENGLISH people can speak YORUBA? Why do some Nigerians like destroying their own? Much respect from Ghana. Rest in perfect peace man, you have done your part for mankind, thank you.
If I'm not mistaking, great yekini is the best striker Nigeria has ever had. Yekini and other fallen super eagles squad of 94, may their soul rest in peace and forever their thought will remain indelable in our heart.
Words of mouth can not express how distinguishly different you were...you remain the Nigeria best striker TOP 9 ,even after your death. We miss you. Baba Rashidi Yekini .. sun reeee oooo
Yekinis record is yet to be surpassed... years after his death...legends create records...he remains Nigeria's best striker ,even in death. Rest on Rashidi Yekini..
Nigerians this man was a great gunman.I’m from Zimbabwe but i still remember him.Why did u brand him illiterate when i can understand what he’s saying.Isn’t this the english we hear in your movies? To me and the rest of the world he’s a legend .RIP Yekeni
😂😂😂😂😂my fellow from Harare. We Nigerians like to make fun of ourselves always. The man was Yoruba , the second largest tribe in Nigeria from the South West. But he had a Hausa accent and intonation of the North because he lived in the North in Kaduna. Hausa is the largest tribe in Nigeria both in itself and by virtue of numerous smaller tribes like mine who speak it as a second language. Its like hearing me a northern Nigerian speaking English with a Shona accent .
Thank you sir for making us proud Nigerians. Sadly, it’s only in sports we can speak of being “proud Nigerians”. More sadly, sports is dying in Nigeria.
I was blessed to knew this irreplaceable icon of Africa very well, from his days with IICC because our compound then was a stone throw from Liberty Stadium. I even remember his first car white Peugeot 504, is one room apartment at Aresa area of Ibadan which also is few yards from the stadium. Also remember when he came back from playing abroad and sharing pitch with us at Ibadan grammar school field with his black ML class mercedes Benz every Sunday morning, he will buy us pure water after games. He was humble personified. Vividly remember when my friend who was a goalie during a game saved his shot and Baba Rashid jokingly said in Yoruba to my friend "oga ni o o" ( you are a master). May God Almighty forgive him all his short falls and grant him Aljanah (Ameen). Funny bit I remember running away with training ball during Eagles training at Liberty Stadium and Sunday Oliseh and Dimeji Lawal was laughing because I threw the ball over the fence and I was struggling to climb the fence to the other side 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@olumayowaelijah yes definitely, Ibadan Grammar school's football field produced some of the best football players in the 80s to early 90s before politics crept into football, Mutiu Adepoju and Dimeji Lawal also honed their skills on the red soil of Ibadan Grammar school.
The great mistake of we Nigerian is English language .. what English language has to do with skills? What English language has to do with success? Many great nations don’t speak English language ... secondly Nigeria don’t appreciate their citizens Alive until he gone... may your soul R.I.P LEGEND
He was a raw talent not manufactured like the ones we have today. We Nigeria can scout for raw talents like Yekini, Olise, Okocha, Kanu, Emenike and Amokachi, they will definitely rule Africa again.

He said they were not interested in the money to be doled out to them that they were only interested in the game I can now see why football is dying in Nigeria and the world at large Rashidi and his teammates were only motivated by the love for the game Check out the players we have today, if they've not seen currency in pounds, they are never motivated
@@clinton77ful sometimes a statement is just a statement and does have to be political. There was a perception that players of his generation weren't educated and didn't have a good command of the English language. It's nothing more than that. And if you have such a disdain for the colonial master's language, stop writing in English.
@@biggy3rd Sad Very few Africans are analytical; like you without any sense of logical thinking, i feel bad for you son, Asking me to stop writing in English is like asking me to evacuate the world since its the white man`s world! now tell me if i have to evacuate, where would i go that the white man has not colonized and imposed his language and culture?
