I completely missed that, that's highly unfortunate. I don't think that's worth taking the whole video down but, you get a pin. Edit: I think I must have assumed since she was nobility it would not have been morganatic and didn't check to see if he had kids. They also weren't listed on family trees.
My only regret is that you can’t make more of these. You’ll get more recognition for your great work soon bro keep up the awesome content. We are here all the way. 👍
I saw the first half of this story on The Great War channel. I love the details you added. History is all about little things like Karl losing a 2-hour debate with his regent.
Really good video, though I would add that part of the reason Horty denied Karl his right was due to the neighboring countries of Romania, Czechoslovakia having armies ready to invade should Karl be restored. Vague promises of French support were not enough to take the gamble and hope an already smaller Hungary could stand against all its neighbors and other world powers.
I'm here on a recommendation from Sam Aronow YT channel. I was watching your oldest video on George Washington defeat and I'm glad your newer videos sound more pleasant. I believe audio is a very important consideration when producing a video. I'm subscribed to your channel and hopefully you get to a level as Sam has. Shalom 😉😁

How hypocritical it must been for Otto. Seeing the powers in europe shift and changing yet still have to lay down the claim of 2 thrones. He seemed a happy man and I really hope he really did accept his life. Can't imagine to live that long and see so much of the world change before your eyes
Otto, while overhearing a football game: that sounds like an exciting game, who’s playing Person who’s watching: It’s Austria Hungary Otto: excellent, who are we playing?
Thanks, I knew almost nothing about this extraordinary story... And by the way, I really like your Richelieu at the siege of La Rochelle, it is also my desktop picture...
1:08 Franz Ferdinand did have children they were barred from succession cause of their mother's social rank

Here from Sam Aronow. Really interested in this longer term of context.

I wish I could too! But as it stands the amount of effort it takes and with the number of subs and views isn't sustainable for me to do much more.
Let's not forget the _fourth_ emperor, Sultan Mehmed VI, who was officially ranked as an emperor in Europe.

It is tragic you don’t have more viewers. This is some of the best content on this site. I enjoy all of your videos.

I found a mistake, On 1:36 Franz Josef (or Joseph) was accidentally labelled Franz Ferdinand.
Oh My God.
Great video! Never knew about any of this.

Another excellent video
Otto was a pretty cool dude. He was involved in resistance during World War II And was an early proponent of the EU.

Frank Ferdinand didn’t die childless. He had children but they were born to a morgamatic marriage and therefore not recognised
Just realized this. Pinned in another comment.
