I saw that picture of the little boy off to the side on the awkward family website. People who submit pics can leave a little story to give context. The sister submitted it, and explained her brother was about two years old, was throwing a tantrum about being there, and the only way to calm him down and have him in the picture was to let him decide where he would sit. (He wasn't put there, he chose to sit there).
Same difference he was not part of the charade! Lol
This was actually the first explanation that occurred to me, since young children often have trouble sitting still for photos

@@shusukepanda Me too. Kids are so hard with photos, it looked like that was probably the best photo that they managed to take with the toddler.
Yahoos laugh at family photographs.And for a television program financially committed to making money thru laughs this makes sense.
I saw families awkwardly displayed and captured thru the lens of a camera.I did not laugh.I just wondered how they turned out.

Watching four celebrities who don't know what an opossum is trying to guess various animals it could be is the highlight of this video.

There's a story behind that pic - apparently, the little fella was originally on the Dad's lap but he kept crying and making a fuss for so long that the parents got fed up with it and made him sit alone.

When we were kids an opossum got hit by a car & killed in front of our house & it still had a baby opossum alive in it's pouch. We raised her & named her Blossom Opossum & she was incredibly friendly & liked to ride around on our shoulders & her favorite food was persimmons
