Hi! not sure if you thought about it, but you can maybe add a 2nd row of books on the back (depends on the depth of your shelf, but probabley could work for the shelves with the smaller paperbacks at least) and to make them visible just add a little step for the books to be placed in, from ikea you can use their spice rack turned upside down or their small shelf for glasses, or an acrylic mini shelf that you can find online
