Hi! not sure if you thought about it, but you can maybe add a 2nd row of books on the back (depends on the depth of your shelf, but probabley could work for the shelves with the smaller paperbacks at least) and to make them visible just add a little step for the books to be placed in, from ikea you can use their spice rack turned upside down or their small shelf for glasses, or an acrylic mini shelf that you can find online

I believe “The Wren in the Holly Library” is a Beauty and the Beast retelling.

i read the 9 books of the chronicles of ixia series (poison study) earlier this year and very much enjoyed them. they don’t read that young and the romance is minimal. it’s there and the connections are an important part of the story but there’s not much in the sense of pining or tension. very entertaining series, though. i plan to start with the three companion novels at some point. wishing you a great reading month in august!
