A new animal on the farm !! Question what’s ghe secret to the chickens laying more our few are laying slow !!
I have no idea what changed with these girls! I know most of our eggs are coming from the new flock we bought a few months back so maybe it's just the younger birds,
@@SixthDayRanch ahh I live here in the city on San Houston we can have up to 10 chickens well we have 6 5 hens 1 roosters they told us they were all hens but we’re good lol but yes they have slowed down on laying and just wondering what good to help laying !! The video showed lots of eggs lol !!
I know we have had some cooler Temps but you could always try to add a little cayenne pepper to their feed! They don't have heat receptors so sometimes that helps during the winter time! Also, the shorter the days, the less they lay. They need lots of sunshine to encourage laying. We have about 20 or more chickens so it could be that because they are all laying, we just get a bunch a day.
@@SixthDayRanch cool deal I’ll try that like mentioned before we have 5 hens and a rooster but by city we can have up to 10 chickens total no more so going to get 4 more !! But will try that pepper !! Thanks for the info ! Have a great weekend to all !!!
