    Thank you for doing this review, I am going to stay at this resort in the AO section in May. I took this resort for the snorkeling, so I hope it’s as good as it seems to be. My sister will be in a wheelchair. How was the food? And was there entertainment available every night?
    Thanks!

      Hi thanks for watching! We loved the food. Everything we had was great. The entertainment was a little limited bc of COVID but they always had something until 11PM in the open air lobby. Your sister will love it there! I would love to hear how your stay was and how the snorkeling was since we didnt do that. Give us some updates when you return :)

    My wife and I plan on going here in October, we’re looking forward to it. Any tips for making it more special? I’m going to book it as a junior suite standard witch I think would be ok, also I hear you can always upgrade to ocean view at the hotel sometimes they throw it in for free?
    Also great review !

    • @3Days3Noches
      @3Days3Noches  2 года назад

      Thank you so much for watching! So this resort actually sells out a lot so there may not be rooms there when you get there. But yes! Sometimes they will upgrade you for free. Happened to us a few times but I think it was because of the channel. Def call the front desk and ask for concierge and tell them your celebrating something like an anniversary or birthday and sometimes they decorate the room. Also you could schedule a romantic dinner near the beach. It’s extra but she’s worth it right? Lol. Just being there together will be special. Can’t wait to go back here now that everything is open!! Can’t wait to hear what you’d think. Call our friend Nacho if you need a ride from the airport!!

    In Feb 2020, I stayed in the premium level ocean front suite. I really enjoyed the large two suite, two bathrooms and balcony area. There is not a comparable non premium level suite. For us, the birds were not annoying. The room was well equipped with a keurig coffee maker (they provided refills on request), a decent sized mini refrigerator, etc. Room service was good although there is an extra charge after hours. Since my stay was pre-COVID lock-down, the premium lounge remained open until ~ 11:00 PM. However, I can't dispute your comments regarding junior suite premium versus non premium level. I'm planning on returning on Marth 13th, 2021

    The restaurants are one of my favorite parts of an all inclusive. How does the access/availability of the restaurant dining change in Riviera Maya premium vs non premium?
    Additionally, is there any hope to eat in the other hotel area restaurants without a premium level?

    • @3Days3Noches
      @3Days3Noches  22 дня назад

      Actually I’m not sure! But I’m pretty sure Premium got priority. I think if you stay at Barcelo Maya Riviera it gives you automatic access to the other resorts even if you are not premium level. But don’t quote me

      @@3Days3Noches Thank you very much for your video ... and it helps me make the decision about which room to select at the Barceló Maya Riviera ... I didn't know the differences in the Premium level; with my wife we are planning the trip for next year, (end of March 2022). Could you recommend another complex? all the rooms facing the pools have a Jacuzzi on the balcony? Again thank you very much!

    • @3Days3Noches
      @3Days3Noches  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! So here is what you get when you decide to upgrade to Premium at The Barcelo Riviera Maya.
      1. Location of Room - the room is in a separate building - so more privacy but further walk from the lobby
      2. Separate check in area with lounge
      3. Free 24 hour room service
      4. Access to Premium Lounge when it’s open.
      Honestly those are the only differences at this property. At the other Barcelo properties it makes sense to upgrade because you get Premium Liquors and access to all of the other properties. You already get that at the Barcelo Riviera Maya on a basic level.
      I’ve been to Haven, Iberostar, Blue Bay and The Grand Moon Palace and still Barcelo was my favorite. At those other properties the beaches were not good and I’m a beach person! The Moon Palace has amazing food and pools but not good beach! I know there’s so many to choose from! Keep following us and subscribe! We try a new resort every 3 months!

Hotels.com just for the room can have great prices too. We went for 3 nights and it was around $850 per person with flight hotel food drinks everything. But it was during January and COVID! I would sign up for their email list and have them send you promotions. They are always doing deals. And then get an app to stalk the flight prices of when the go down etc. it all depends where you are coming from! That’s what I love about Mexico.
