  • In our main channel video where we visit the Mike Curb Motorsports Museum in Kannapolis NC we mention the other half of the building is actually the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. These exhibits have artifacts from noteworthy musicians and industry members who were born in or call North Carolina home! Artists such as Randy Travis, Clay Aiken, and many others!

Great video! There is lots of musical heritage in NC. The style of music that is bluegrass is strong in this area, but it also extended North. One of the older music festivals is held at Granite Hills Camping Resort in Gettysburg. My dad used to travel there in the 70’s to play his mandolin. Of course Marty Robbins was a huge country music star and loved the racing in Nashville. I watched your tour with Ray Evernham, but it don’t recall if he showed you Marty’s #777 Belvedere that he restored. Marty would start a race at the Nashville Speedway and have to pull out mid-race in order to make it to the Grand Ole Opry in downtown Nashville. He would often arrive just in time to perform on Saturday nights.

That's one place I will be visiting. Never heard of it before part 1. Thanks for part 2. I'm a rock and roll guy, but have always enjoyed all types of music due to the talent of the artist. It is amazing how much history has influenced the music we have listened to all of our lives.

When the Pittsburgh Pirates won the World Series in 1979. Willie Stargell or pops as he was known, used the sister sledge we are family as a theme for the team, which is also a very huge hit in that year. I know you weren’t born then and I’m not sure if you follow baseball at all.

I am very familiar with Willie Stargell. I grew up in Pittsburgh and my dad went to those World Series games back in the day

Nice video 🙂 Mitch "We Are Family"! (no pun intended), but if you were around in 1979 you would have not "dissmissed" the writer of We Are Family, one of the best Pirate team ever 🙂
