no one even plays kh for the disney parts though. we prefer the more mature stuff, most of us are playing for the original characters/original storyline and the gameplay.

@@bukalayzx The Walt Disney Company exclusively owns the Kingdom Hearts IP. All original characters, worlds, terms, concepts, etc. belong to Disney. The only content Square owns within any given KH game is the cameos from their own titles, such as TWEWY and FF characters.
Square Enix's involvement in Disney's usage of the IP only extends as far as a contract agreement, similar to Lucasfilm and EA/Bioware for Star Wars.
There's a reason why when you put up any Kingdom Hearts game, it says only (c) Disney.

There was a giant display promo store last month in Disney Springs where you could play a demo of the game before it released and had lots of memorabilia in cases and such. It was a neat surprise 😊
The Dandelion meeting last year had Disneyland costume characters there (it was held right down the street). And they had the demo at Disney Springs in WDW until about a week ago. They are slowly but surely working their way up.

Disney finally acknowledged that kingdom hearts exists!
They shouldn't! KH is ruining Donald! He's always been the brawler of Mickey's group and the brawn, so why is peaceful, simple Goofy the knight? Makes no sense!

@@KingMars47 Yes, I have. It's not about Donald being "peaceful" or "smart." It's about him being the physically weak mage and "healer" when he's actually the strongest out of Mickey's group and has been for a long time.
Maybe you've never seen his cartoons where he literally has punched out sharks "("Sea Scouts"), punched out mountain goats ("Alpine Climbers"), punched out ghosts ("Lonesome Ghosts"), rips up trees & telephone poles ("Cured Duck"), beat BOTH Mickey and Goofy in a brief tug-of-war with a telephone line ("Answering Service"), and has beat up even PETE! ("Tapped Out"). He is no where near physically weak. At least not in comparison to Mickey and Goofy. Yet they made GOOFY the knight???? Why???

A lot of Disney execs didn't realise how big KH actually was until everyone showed up for the KH3 announcements at D23. Now that they're finally looking, as long as we continue to show up, we might have cool things coming... It's all about that money potential LOL

People used to buy entire game consoles just to play the latest Kingdom Hearts game since they were always on different consoles.

Hoo boy, was she _not_ ready for me to talk her ear off trying to explain what the series was. 😄 Hopefully if Disney makes this game series more "mainstream," I won't have that problem again. 😅

i prefer disney stays away from kh to be honest. its better to leave it to nomura and japan. disney doesnt know how to make good storylines.

There's a big difference between drawing attention to it and "getting more involved" with it. I's also impossible for Disney to "stay away" from it- _their characters make up more than half the cast._

This may be the third time I’ve seen Disney acknowledge Kingdom Hearts. I remember when Chain of Memories came out they gave it some attention on Disney Channel or Toon Disney during one of their Disney 411mini-news updates. And the second time I’ve seen it was the attention it got at Disney Springs for the KHIII demo and promotion.

Establishes the general issue you’re focussed on in each world without going into the nitty-gritty or spoiling details about the overall plot apart from what had already been shared officially (like with Baymax at the end there). Always enjoy these emoji summaries, and it really does my heart glad to know that KH is getting more attention from Disney itself.
End of the world is actually the destiny island world
Master Aqua I guess that’s one way to look at it? To me End of the World has always been the Heartless homeworld and their way to get to other worlds, including those swallowed by darkness like the Islands and other places tied to the Realm of Darkness.
