Only slipon and -1 tooth front sprocket, so basically stock. I also struggle in 4th gear, some days its no issue, other days i get it up. Having a worn rear tire so it has a smaller circumference made it way easier before, so gearing absolutely does a major difference. Otherwise technique and delicate clutch work is the key
Yeah i would say so. Make sure that the previous owner has done proper maintenance including adjusting the valve clearance, its a good indicator if the bike has been properly cared for!

Is your smc tuned? mine doesnt come up as easily in 3rd and def not in 4th
No tune, only -1 tooth front sprocket, which does make a difference. But otherwise its mostly technique
