have watched you and Catherine hiking but did not know until now that you have your own channel. thoroughly enjoyed your video. hope that the situation normalizes in the near future so that you and your aunt can continue your adventures and sharing them with others. be safe.
I was so excited when I saw this video in my feed. I am really enjoying the documentary feel that you have been doing with your videos. Now I really want to do the Trans-Catalina.
Great vid! Just got back from 4 days on the Island. Am thinking about doing the TCT next spring. I turn 70 in November, so hopefully we're post-Covid, I'm still here, and the trail will be as rewarding as it looks on your vid.
Great video! I love the TCT. It's very fun to watch your backpacking adventures moving into new challenges and type 2 fun:) It's evident that you are setting challenging goals for yourself on trail and off trail ... and having fun:) Thanks for taking us along this journey.
Loving your adventures. Im saying a prayer that this virus thing goes away so you can do your big trip. I heard that they are advising no through hikes due to emergency services not being readily available for emergency rescues if needed. Hoping your year is all you are looking for. LOL
Would loved to have seen some video of the “encounter”. Fortunately, it was probably a Southern Pacific rattlesnake, which is able to provide a warning, as opposed to a Santa Catalina rattlesnake, that sheds his button every year and is not (able to warn you of its presence). Good reason to carry an inReach or iPhone with SOS.
You’ll do fine on the PCT, you got 700 miles for getting into the routine and the body needs for distance. I haven’t heard anything about extreme snow depth this year, so you’ll do fine there also. Make good choices when to take the time to stop and put on cramp on (steep traverses mostly). I understand people wanting to use hiking pole while using an ice axe, I don’t feel it’s wise and risk very serious injury if you do have to arrest. This is going to be a good year I think for PCT. The question is Corona issues and how that effects Trail Life. Wave Hi 👋, no knuckle bumps. I look foreword to your video image work on trail. Your going to do well. What is your start date if you don’t mind.

Glad you enjoyed it!
You and Catherine, you're very sympathic Persons, i love you and your videos. Greetings from saxony🤗
I applaud your use of a tripod while hiking. When I bring mine it only gets used at camp or if our group stops for a longer break...

OMG I just read an article that they may ban PCT hikers this spring. I thought of your trek.
Another beautiful video. Another trip added to the bucket list. What month was this trip? Weather looked perfect.
This was February!
I bet that felt great on the feet after hiking those hills.
👍👍👍.
so cool, Is that a new tent?
Yes! Sierra Designs High Route 1
@@nomad_unknown how do you like it? Curious about those trekking pole tents..
2 months later time has come to watch it
Better late than never!
How did the motivational speech you gave yourself work out? LMAO
Phenomenal camera tether, capture clips can be so unreliable and ruin your trip.
