when I was 7 we had a chessboard in class. I didn't know all the rules, just how to move pieces, and we were literally taking the king to win, checkmate wasn't a concept.

I agree with you that rushing to judgment is stupid regarding cheaters. A couple points for people to consider: 1. Part of being in the middle ratings is that your play tends to be inconsistent. You make some incredible moves, but then also make some stupid blunders. If your play was all blunders, you'd be low rated; if your play was all brilliant, you'd be high-rated. So yeah, everyone should expect at least SOME really good moves from the mid-ratings tier. It goes with that territory. 2. "He took 4 seconds on the only move!" Maybe he was scratching his nose or taking a sip of coffee. Or maybe, like me, he just wanted to be 100% before dropping the piece. Doesn't mean anything on its own.
Dude you are seriously the best. I cannot wait for tournaments just so I can watch your game reviews. They are so thrilling the way you explain them and I really learn from your explanations
I think maybe the issue is playing the bishop move would imply the idea was there so the queen follow up should not then take time to come up with. Needing time after the bishop move makes it look like it was just desperation and then sniped the idea he never had

5:18 Hey Gotham, Have you ever tried Chess Evolved Online? It's a ridiculous Collectable Card Game that's chess, but with a few hundred pieces. @Ad M I mean there is always the chance of course, but it's also a little ridiculous. Can't everytime suspect engine if there are any good moves by lower rated players. Should just only play 3 minute games to drastically lower the chance of engine use. Then leave 5 minutes + games for over-the-board play..
