  • Join us on Tuesday, May 10, at 4:00 p.m. ET as we livestream the 2022 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Lecture, a collaboration between Monticello, the University of Virginia Library, and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Chair in the Corcoran Department of History at the University.
    This year's speaker will be Professor Joanne Freeman, the Class of 1954 Professor of American History and of American Studies at Yale University.

    The Founding may not have seemed that way while the Founders were living through it, however our Founding was An Amazing time none the less!

    The founding process was set in motion, with many mechanisms for further change carefully crafted. I'm sure that the people who put it together would be shocked and dismayed that we don't embrace change of governance as time marches on.

    Your are amazing I love American revolution history learning about the founding. I see you in a lot documentary like Washington and few others keep up the great work as a historian you great

    Joanne the question seems to be so when did the revolution end my answer would be it never ended we're still fighting the revolution to the very day you know that it that the end of you asked me a question history that's exactly what I would say I would say we're fighting we're still in the revolution That's my comment my name is bonnie I'm not moaning No not you Laurie I thin
