Thank you for making this easy to understand! My wife has 10 basses and I have 10 guitars and an ever-changing climate. This will really save me money by learning to do the adjustments myself!
And there you go guys don’t be afraid to adjust your truss rod even under tension! This is a pro and has just dispelled the myth and he’s not worried so don’t you be. I’ve worked on a lot of guitars and can’t tell you how many times that the guitar can be fixed with a great playing action and get it playing at its best with simple truss rod adjustment and almost nothing else! Thanks James 👍🏻
This is super informative. Bought a Burning Water from you guys a few months back and have been keeping a close eye on the neck relief. Might be due for an slight adjustment. Where do you recommend getting one of those rulers from?
I don't know Tyler's specs to the 0.001", but _Fender's_ website goes into good detail about truss tod and action adjustment, which may help to clarify the information in this video. As well as a "string action ruler" from eBay, I have an old English half-penny that is 1/16" (or 1.6mm) thick, which I use to check the action, and a set of feeler gauges for checking the neck relief.

Thanks for this Rich! I adjust mine nearly every gig after I've let them acclimate... There's always a slight variation.

Thanks Rich - finally makes perfect sense...

Another reason why JTG is the best!!
Including a ruler and instructions is low cost and probably saves them money with customer service and/or returns.
