Cup warmer works well, although I don't really use it as I have the machine set to power off after a period of activity, which also means the hotplate switches off too. There is at least enough space for 4 espresso or two regular sized coffee cups/mugs.
The coffee machine heats the water on demand when making the coffee. You can also adjust the temperature in the settings menu of the machine. The milk also comes out hot as it is steamed to make the milk froth. So both will come out hot. There is no need to use hot water or hot milk into the machines reservoirs or containers. I wouldn't recommend doing it either as adding hot milk could clog the frothing mechanism.
Really easy, it auto cleans itself before and after each use and the machine ask for descaling when needed. They say you need to clean de milk jar every couple days if you keep it in the fridge. Oh you have to clean with clear water an internal part but it's really easily accessible and done. Only draw back is that it takes way more water then you need for the coffee with all the cleanings but I better like to refill with water more often, then go to the lengthy cleaning processes of manual espresso set ups even if they are fun to operate and use.
The machine will prompt you when it needs to clean the milk attatchment. When it promts with this message you turn the dial on the milk frother to clean and the machine will run a clean cycle.
Hi, thanks for the video. I noticed that your machine is making a whirring noise. Mine does that too. I've seen videos and I can't hear the sound. Does anyone happen to know why that could be?
No coffee machine is silent due to the process of creating steam from the condensing unit when frothing the milk - noises from the water element heating the water as it despences, and the noise from the compacting of the ground coffee in preparation for having the hot water forced under pressure through the unit. The absence of noise in other people's videos will due to them either using a different mic setup when recording, which eliminates background noise, or they simply have muted audio post filming. Hope this helps. The noises are perfectly normal.
Just got one of these at work. Seems to make good coffee but even running a "long coffee" hardly even outputs half a mug. How do you do a full mug of coffee?
you can program the amount of water it dispenses for each function. I would suggest programming the my coffee button to set the required amount to your liking. From memory this is fairly straight forward and should be detailed in one of the manuals for your machine. Hope this helps.
Not that I am aware of, it's the heating element for the water tank that heats the cup warmer, so the two are intrinsically linked. You can set the sleep and auto off settings to suit your needs.
As I only have this machine I'm unable to help with giving you a recommendation. I suggest you look for other reviews or contact De'Longhi customer service to advise which machine is best for you.
Not sure I understand the question, but if your asking if it gets the milk hot then yes. It uses steam to froth the milk, so it comes out hot, but not very hot. The idea is when it mixes with your coffee it should be a drinkable temperature. Hope this answers your question.
Hey guys, would you recommend buying this machine in 2023. Looks like exactly what i need for the family. It costs around 700usd here. Import taxes :)
That was super helpful👍

How tall is the machine?
Great review, only other thing I would like to have seen is how easy it is to clean

If you pull gently on the spout it will aim further into the cups
Good review, but I have a question ... If the power goes out or you unplug it, it loses the time and the configuration you have made previously?
Can I use hot water or hot milk in order to have hot cappuccino or cot coffee?

Just press the button for two coffees. Two normal ones should do the job for what you would expect with "large"
*is there a way to just turn off the cup warmer while the machine is in use?*

What coffee beans are the best for this machine?🙃
Any to your taste - the grinder is fully adjustable. Maybe go to your local coffee wholesaler and they should help you find a flavour to your tastes.
