I forgot to mention the scent... it's not over-powering super soft super clean. Reminds me of a product from the 90's called Back to Basics, which I believe was "sunflower" scented. It's a good spring scent. 8/10

Would love to know what shampoo you’d recommend for fine hair that’s dry and dull? I need shine and softness to my hair… will definitely start using cooler water as well!
Some products I’ve been interested in trying: Ghost by Verb, Joico Hydrasplash, Amika Velveteen Dream.

Me too! I’d like to see a review on the Ghost… I too have fine dry hair. Great suggestion!

Do you think this shampoo and conditioner could work for my normal scalp, medium thickness strands, and straight hair? I normally enjoy Kenra shampoos but I've never tried this platinum line before! Thank you for the great review. 🥰

Thank you! I just started using the Luxe One Leave In because I LOVE my Platinum Blow Dry … I’m okay with it… not as in love as I am with my Blow Dry spray. It SUCKS as a spray…comes out in blobs even after shaking it vigorously. But, I do like to emulsify it in my hands and apply mid length to ends. I’ll use it up but likely won’t buy again. Nothing really special. Thanks for your honest review!

When you say second generation, do you mean that one or both of your parents were hairdressers?
I'm just curious. You tend to present rather fact-based points. I feel like I'm missing something, since you don't seem the type (from what very little I know of you) to rely on anything other than your own expertise.
Interesting review. I've not used their stuff before. Sounds a bit much for my scalp as I'm a bit sensitive to some of rhe ingredients

I was raised in the industry by my hairstylist mother. My expertise is my own as it is an amalgamation of my upbringing, school, advanced education, and professional experience.

So Jon, question for you. I believe you and I have very similar hair types (mine may be a bit more coarse), what shampoo and conditioner do you normally use?
I should add that I do have color treated hair (permanent).

VERB Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. I always gravitate towards Hydrating or Moisturizing or Strengthening shampoos and conditioners.

@JonScottWontStop awesome thank you. That looks like it may be about what I'm looking for. I've been using the olapex shampoo and conditioner for a couple of years now, but I've noticed it doesn't help with hydration or breakage much as my hair has gotten longer. (I'll add that I do care for it properly, just once it got past my ribs, it became a lot more obvious)

Also my scalp gets very oily fast

VERB Ghost Shampoo and Conditioner has been getting rave reviews for your situation. Also, immediately put dry shampoo in after you have washed and styled your hair. It’ll help absorb the oil as you produce it. The VERB conditioners require being in the hair for 3-5 mins, so keep that in mind and, of course, avoid the extensions bonds/wefts/installation points when applying the conditioner to prevent slipping.

@@JonScottWontStop thank you so much! I’ve been weary about dry shampoo I’ve heard that it’s actually really bad for your hair. Do you have any suggestions on what brand is good to use?
