Newcomer here w a 2013 and this did the trick. Good to know Volvo stayed consistent w this. And thank you too for this vid bro! (from 6 yrs in the future)
Thanks. Your awesome
Your video was much more helpful than the homelike video with my 2 step system, thank you!!
Worked for my 08 XC90 on first try.
You're pic on the video shows the old system, very misleading. 👎
Rock - Picture the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) saying this. "It doesn't what system it is". The process is the same. Its just the buttons and there location that change. I would advise you to stop judging a book by its cover and focus on the content.
I don't want to clear the system, I already have the 1 and 3 programmed, so I don't want to erase them. Will pressing 1 and 3 erase them?
yes it will, you dont have to clear them in order to do this
confusing
Yes it is without it being inside of a proper garage...
Thank you. You just save me the $85 I paid a garage door company to program my Audi & Volvo XC60. The caution regarding why it is better to operate from the car vs remote is spot on. I also spent $95 for a key chain remote that is now useless because i had to purchase a new motor. Should have stayed with the same brand. Going out now to do stage 1 & 2. Thanks again.
Thank you!
Excellent video! You are a perfect spokesman - the technique and actual filming were all very clear and easy to follow. Thanks!
Is everyone now these day becoming a reviewer of quality?
Lets first give him thanks for the tutorial.. I doubt you even needed the help for your car. Just saying.. Let me know if. otherwise
Thank you very much for the vid.
Hector Mendoza xx x x The end of an era.
Thanks! Still works on the 2021 XC60.
Hello, Thanks for the VIDEO, I have the 2016 XC90 and homelink, but it doesnt work with my garage. When I put the transmiter in front of the homelink. the green light never blink... I have a SOMFY . Any help please
Karim. You have to clear the system by pressing the 1 and 3 button at the same time. Press and hold for around 20 to 25 seconds until the indicator changes
Alton Ive done it..but doesnt work..
Karim ACHARGUI hold the transmitter in different places around the homelink buttons. Preferably under the homelink
Thanks for the video. @ 2:16 you say press & hold 1 & 3 but you're not doing that...are you?
Scotty. Thanks for beaming me up. You will only need to press and hold both 1 and 3 to permanently clear all codes. I would suggest you preform this task before attempting to program an item.
Scott. You only press and hold button 1 & 3 to reset only.
Thanks
Outstanding walkthrough!
Dasteufelhund. Hopefully you were successful in your attempt to program the unit.
thank you
Harry. I'm glad I could be of assistance.
well...informative...but you used "actually" 15 times in a 4 minute video. I actually was distracted. ;)
Thank you for that video Alton. Could you please do a video on the media options, for example, a regular ipod, the playlists and albums, when I select a particular song, it does not play it, it defaults to something else. Can you please do a video on that. Thanks
Thank you so much for doing this demonstration. I could not find a thing in the manual and you made it simple!
Just watched your video. You’re an excellent spokesman! Well done! Every automotive company should have a guy like you onboard. Customers really appreciate
technical information presented in visual form from a well spoken and
knowledgeable person. And it was to the point. Loved it! Thanks so
much!Susan W.
You forgot to log out the burner Alton!!
Fantastic video. I moved into a new house 6 months ago and never could get my Volvo XC90 to be programmed with my garage door. This video solved my issue. Thank you, Alton.
Scott. Thank you. An encouraging word is always needed and welcomed.
