Barbie Color Match: Fashionista 177 onto BMR1959 Kira

I am so into the articulation of the dolls. Once I realized what you can do with them, I began to open a lot of my collector dolls that were very expensive and would put them on me to move bodies. This totally changed my world. I began to buy older dolls not only for their face but for their clothing and when I would get them I would immediately rebody them. I have a Byron Lars doll that was so expensive that I’m embarrassed to say that I had purchased her on eBay for a ridiculous amount of money, only to rebody her. However, I think I have more fun with her now that she’s out of the box and have been re-bodied then when she was standing there on the shelf collecting dust.

thanks for the awesome tips i have 177& the red yoga red haired doll but the thing is i dont want her to be curvey so I'll think about it.what are your thoughts?

Unfortunately Kira and the red yoga curvy are the only two that currently match that skin tone I would love to see them do petite and tall but so far no luck

Those are from Target in the $5 section they will probably show up again in a couple of months because that stuff tends to rotate

I have a question, is her skin tone too diferent than the normal blond Barbie skin tone?

It’s all difference in the undertone of the skintone, they may not be super tan but blonde Barbie has a pink undertone and Kira has a yellow undertone so while it may not be as noticeable as putting a black Barbie head on a blond Barbie body, it is still obvious her head doesn’t match but if you have a turtleneck and pants so all you’re really seeing is the hands it won’t be as obvious but most of Barbie fashions are pretty skin heavy so I always prefer as perfect a match as I can get
