    i'm not hating but a professional muay thai fighter will destroy them both in a fight

    • @GingerNinjaTrickster
      @GingerNinjaTrickster  7 лет назад +713

      Pizza Dude You are hating... appreciate it for what it is. WTF is more about points and the sport side of martial arts. No need to compare other martial arts to it.
      Would a Muay Thai fighter get whooped in Olympic TKD rules? The answer is yes. Don't compare them.
      I am in ITF which is different to this but I am open minded and appreciate it for what it is.

    Is really cool to see WTF and ITF taekwondo without any trash talk. I think the ITF and WTF can share and learn the practice of taekwondo.

      As much as I think that it's a good idea of ITF and WTF practitioners to discuss and sharing knowledge, I don't think merging two styles would be wise. Both have different history, philosophy and curriculum. As an ITF student myself, I find Gen Choi's teaching to be pure and righteous.

    • @1DeeThunder
      @1DeeThunder 4 года назад +1

      It is great, both may be the same art but very different styles. Actually ITF AND WTF have collaborated in the most recent. Last I recall was in Austria Vienna with Demonstrations. Each may have different styles but they can indeed share knowledge/ information

    • @cannonballer6847

      TKD practiced as a series of combinations is a very difficult style to master. It is "plyometric" training to the highest degree because every single kick or punch is explosive and intended to be the one to end the fight. The fact that you explode numerous times in succession increases your chances of overwhelming your adversary. So two things become extremely important in training: speed and accuracy.

  • @TROSATKD
    @TROSATKD 7 лет назад +26

    That is some crazy SPEED if you take into account Aaron is -80 and Bianca a heavyweight...

  • @AirbenderHawk
    @AirbenderHawk 7 лет назад +10

    TKD for lyfe!! Lmao! Those slow motion yells though. In all of seriousness, I still practice TKD daily even I didn't train in a Dojang in like years. TKD will always be my life. Those kick combos are my personal favorite because of varieties and the level of intimidation is unparalleled.

    • @GingerNinjaTrickster
      @GingerNinjaTrickster  7 лет назад +4

      :D I don't like the screaming either but it's to show they are intentionally striking when competing :)

    Finally a TKD video. Although I'm not a fan of Aaron Cook, this was a great video with lots of info when analysed. More like this would be greatly appreciated (more combos and tactics), you don't have to bring guests on if your well enough to show us yourself. Please don't be put off with the negative comments about the slow-mo, WTF style, or the screaming, those people don't know what their talking about. Team GNT!

    Very nice video!
    I'm a TKD/WTF practitioner and every day I'm getting disappointed of what the WTF is directing TKD to: a foot-fencing sport.
    Your videos (not necessarily because you're a ITF fighter) are more complete because of the use of feet, hands and body...
    As a matter of fact, I stopped training for competing.
    I do focus in old-style sparring and self defense, the way TKD and Hapkido were once taught together...

    Hey GNT,
    I know this is pretty late, but what are your thoughts on the recent talks of a merger between the leaders of the ITF and WTF back in April 2019?
    Do you think that there could be a successfully unified TKD federation?
    The differences that would need to be overcome would be:
    -different sparring rules
    -different forms
    -slightly different techniques
    How do you think the ITF and WTF could reconcile these differences?
