The Judge didn't quash the subpoena for deposition, he "stayed" it, until he heard from Nathan Wade, if he chooses to testify. Meaning he could still order her to testify.

That's not the way I heard it. The judge said he would depose Wade first, then decide about Fani. He was not at all friendly to Fani's lawyer's arguments and implied much of it was superfluous and he didn't want to hear it. Fani wanted so much to embarrass President Trump. She's the one who insisted he get a mug shot (which has now become a symbol of his strength and defiance). So, who's embarrassed now? who's the one that's really trying to interfere with an election? False headline. The judge will first conduct the deposition of Nathan Wade. Wade will be asked a number of questions under oath. The answers may be very damaging for Willis. He will be asked about the money that was paid to him by Willis, and there may also be questions about how the money was spent and how much is left as marital assets for division with Wade’s wife. There may also be questions about Wade’s relationship with Willis. The judge will seek to determine alimony to be paid to Wade’s wife based on Wade’s earnings. The judge will then decide whether to depose Willis, but the damage may already have been done.
Imagine Atlanta may have an unethical and untrustworthy DA. Could this even be possible?

The Judge told her in code that this is only a math problem. The Judge told them all that all they need to do is write a check. It will all go away. The judge is telling them to write a check and gave them time using the stay of the Fannie Willis deposition. She is entitled to half that contract. There are no child support issues. There is only a division of assets issue. To avoid any depositions is to write her a check. He doesnt care about anything else. He is helping Fannie
