Arkham City is without a doubt my favorite of the Arkham games. While yes, the combat and gameplay was basically perfected in Knight, the story, cast of characters but most importantly, the atmosphere of City is what elevates it for me. The snowy, gothic streets, the music, the map which is filled with hidden easter eggs and things to do, it’s such a cool world. I love it
Lol, funny I was thinking about Arkham city the other day and penguin had a opportunity to take over Gotham city, penguin has a stockpile of weapons, assault rifles, grenades, rocket launchers, shotguns, pistols, land mines, riot shields, body armor, antimaterial rifles, guided rockets , jamming devices and backpack jamming devices, and he had about 200 inmates under his command with a good portion being experience mercenaries and just offered alcohol to pay his men to follow him, if penguin manage to recruit all 2000 or so prisoners to his cause , and went and grabbed other stockpiles in the sewers and across the bay is Arkham asylum where Tyger security helicopter fleet is with more stockpiles with about 3 or 4 dozen armed helicopters to control , lots of turrets too and send some of his men on boats to get it and blow a hole in the wall to escape, and use the armed helicopters to control airspace, and create a battalion of armored APC vehicles using vans or SUV cars with steel plates and put a MG, grenade MG or rocket turret on top and could have like 150 or so APC to control the streets, and put defensive checkpoints around the city and have jamming devices around Gotham to keep airforce away and put about 15 or 20 guided rockets at different locations to use against planes and ships to have total control over Gotham city and penguin would be warlord of Gotham city , would love a long siege battle with Gotham city police or maybe the marines lol
This game came out 10 years ago. I was 10. I'm 20 now as I watch this. The Batman Arkham games just never age and are always fun to play, Rocksteady is the 🐐
I was 12 when the first Arkham Asylum came out. It was the most talked about game at the time, I played through the Demo (back when demos were a thing) 3 times. I honestly didn’t believe they could build on what me and my cousin thought was the perfect superhero game but we were wrong. Haha
He didn't do it in just one night, he did it over 2 days cause if you listen to the goons in the steel mill after the joker is back to normal (Clayface) they say that they saw him yesterday and he looked like poison crap and today all good 👍

This Remaster is amazing. I mean I can clearly see the clear details of the fibres of Batman's suit and Joker's Hideously disfigured, Nightmarish Face.
I agreeeeeee with you 100%....but the dark purple atmosphere was amazingggggg in the original version , and batmans mouth was more better. (my opinion).

This game really gives one Batman returns vibes. Despite Arkham knight being superior than this game visually & technically, it really lacks the Gothic & snowy feel of the Arkham City.
the developer has to release a patch that enables both ps5 and series x to run all of batman games at a steady 60 fps in a decent resolution(not 1080p). Its pity they don't do it.
You can literally make a live action movie about this. I'm surprise the studio haven't thought of making one similar to the Arkham games or the Animated series. Hopefully, the upcoming Batman movie does.
At 51:43 even after firing multiple electric shots at the motor, it would just keep buzzing up with electricity but the gate won't open. Any idea why it is happening with me.
I absolutely love this series! I still favor the original PS3/Xbox 360 version over the remastered because of the darker lighting that gives Arkham its creepy atmosphere. The new one just makes everything more brighter.
You know what I like about Arkham City remastered? The graphics and lighting actually looks kinda similar to the cinematic Hugo Strange trailer and are clearer

22:13 Just out of curiosity, why was the "Ballistic Armor" upgrade your first choice? You seem like a pretty experienced player of this game. And in _my_ experience, the only time you would ever really need ballistic armor would be if you were to attack armed enemies head-on (which an experienced player would know better than to do). Therefore, it seems a lot less likely that you would need ballistic armor at this very early stage of the game. I tend to focus more on the combat upgrades early on, because then you can just sort of glide around, fight groups of enemies, and gain XP a lot more quickly and efficiently. More XP early on leads to more upgrades early on. Just my two cents.
Just got this("Return To Arkham", PS4 double disc, Asylum & City new from Amazon) and both run and look AWESOME on my 65" LG G3 OLED via my PS5(disc version). This game(City) after it updated automatically to version 1.03 runs perfect at 60fps and looks fantastic. Asylum was the same!. It updated to Version 1.02 and it looks and runs fantastic at 60fps. Frikken love these games and it's such a joy to play them again!
Anyone noticed that if you do not update the game in ps4 then the game is locked to 60fps but however when the update finishes then the game comes back at 30-35fps again..
Batman can glide out of Arkham City another interesting secret is the hidden Riddler Room where the man of questions makes all of those broadcast messages to Batman . 👍👍
