Interesting slo-mo replay. He hung onto the drops throughout the fall like you're technically suppose to do. It probably helped avoid a worse injury and allowed him to re-mount quickly (albeit without saddle!) and save the win.

This race is a good demonstration why you should always race till the end, anything can happen and it did, multiple times :)

You have to feel for the big guys like Wout and especially MvdP having to run the same tires as guys like Pidcock etc. They’re having to ride much closer to the grip limit.

Great race. Sucks another channel spoiled it in the title. MVDP, wish I saw the fall, still a strong race and WOW what accelerations! WVA, way to keep focus and finish strong. Vantournaught was also strong. Glad to see a Spaniard in the mix with LLoret.

The course was different to what is considered a classic cyclocross course and it gave us full speed sprint from the start till like 30 minutes in! Great fast action.
Cyclocross is great for road training and I would love to see road riders come to cross next season and for the big3 to realise that cross helps them more than training camps do. It’s what made them who they are and gave them their abilities they used to win the road races they have won.

Was expecting MVDP to be the best... Oooh boy, was I wrong ! WVA had trouble with his start, so dropped back. In my opinion WVA was the best today! Hats off to him 👍🏼
What race did you watch exactly? I think it's not the one in Benidorm. Van Aert was in the front from the beginning. MvdP had a bad start where he lost his chain and was in 30th and fought all the way back to the front only to make a stupid mistake and hit a pole. WvA was definitely great today, not sure if he was the best.

This was more a criterium than a cyclocross race. Nowhere to really make a difference.
