Me and the boys found this buried in my cupboard, it might be the greatest board game we've ever played. Thankyou for explaining the mechanics of the game it has delivered everlasting premo's
Just found this at a thrift store for $3. I expect to at least have some fun with it, but I guess I’ll keep my expectations in check Lol. Thanks for making this video, very helpful and clear. :)
The game is still fun from the nostalgia standpoint, but as far as competitiveness goes...not so much. If you can get a Pakari and KauKau you'll be zooming around the map in an over-powered rampage. Which that can be fun if your friends keep finding unhelpful items!
Good luck! The game is mildly broken, but in fairness, it wasn't designed for a group of competitive and vindictive college nerds to try and outsmart eachother!
I always played it like this: we set up the entire map before starting, but in a "random" manner, meaning, not the exact order which "fits perfectly". This means you might have a few dead ends, but the board will be different every time. And you can make it pretty "balanced"
I don't believe so, but iirc that's one of the things that isn't explicitly explained in the rulebook. Our house rules typical state that teleporting counts as movememt
Two questions, hopefully if you’re still active on this channel. On the collector cards, what is the purpose of the key symbols under the token tracks? On the board pieces, what is the purpose of the key symbols on portal spaces? Both of these were not explained in the rules or in this video, so clarification would be helpful!
I'll be honest, I have no idea. I know the little circles with the symbols inside represent letters in the Latin alphabet, but if I understand the specifics of what you're asking about, they're just symbols that fit in-universe. Hope that's helpful!
Key symbols on the portal spaces indicate what board piece can connect to it. The key symbols must match for the board pieces to connect, if the board you picked up doesn't have a matching symbol you put it on the bottom of the board stack and keep going until you have a matching symbol. The portals that don't have key symbols on are free portals that any portal can connect to.

Cool 👍
We'll be playing this on Biotube Soon, Thanks for Simplifying it.

@@KeithMyers2022 That definitely took some time for me too!

1 question: Can you roll the dice in the same turn that i used the teleportation mask?
Thabks for the Video!

@@duddernator Exactly, they have to fit
This is to make each board a little harder (or only a little easier) than the last
