The trainer can't tell you why you're losing and why you're down a break in the 3rd set. She said after the match blaming some sickness. Well, you can't be sick since 2020 US Open. That's a long sickness. Take accountability, you are losing because you are sucking. Learn to not suck and you won't have to call the trainer and stop making excuses for yourself Emma Raucanu. @@huzcerShe was insanely lucky.
She had a easy run to the R4 as a WC in Wimby 21, only had to face Marketa who was and is injury prone and could lose to everyone just like in this AO. And then collected enough points for the UO21 Q.
As a qualifier she didnt face any top 10 in the first 3 rounds and those projected to face her (Ash, Iga, Pliskova, Sabalenka) were knocked out a round before facing her, Ash blowing a 5-1 lead in s3. And then her opponents returned to their normal level when facing her. And she was scheduled to face Brady (13) in R1 but she withdrew and she only had to face the LL Vogele who had 13 GS Main Draws at the age of 33.
And she as a PR had a very easy draw to the SF this time, only Qinwen is a strong opponent, but she blew it by her own.
By the way, she played so many matches and reached a GS R5+ won a GS but only had to face a top 10 for like 3-4 times. Iga x2, Coco x1. and lost all.

Emma should start respecting her opponent, instead of making excuses why she lost, like Mike died ( a British journalist) felt sick during the match etc. should be saying my opponent just played to well on the day. We all know what happened at Wimbledon when she started to get beaten she walked of the court and didn't come back. Its easy to be a great winner but much harder to be a gracious loser.

This player is one hit wonder. She won the US Open by only playing two seeds ranked 11 and 17 and no one in the top 10. Post that she has never made it past the first or second round of WTA tournaments she has played in.
It's staggering why experienced retired players like Chris Evert, Jim Courier, John Mc Enroe think she is even that special. She gets away with it because of her looks, not her tennis skills. She has no weapons of note - better than average forehand, no serve of note and no mental fortitude. As for the British media, they seem to think she's the most talented and capable player around, when she clearly isn't. Let's face it the last good player the UK has produced was Murray and no one else on the horizon is even close to him.
Yes she's young but so are Andreeva, Alcarez, Rune and Sinner but you don't hear them complaining profusely blaming medical conditions and other "circumstances" for poor performances.
It's getting tiresome hearing people waxing lyrical over someone like her when there are many other worthwhile players to focus on.

She played Stefanie Vögele, Zhang Shuai, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Shelby Rogers, Belinda Bencic, Maria Sakkari, and Leylah Fernandez. Not an easy run for the first time but not the hardest either. However, you see this often in the women's game - random unranked player win a GS. The tough(er) part is consistency. Even Sabalenka, Swiatek, etc. they've been through periods of ups and downs. I just haven't seen Raducanu come back up since her USO win.
She also loves calling for a trainer after burning herself out in the first two matches. She's so young that unless she really has a condition it shouldn't be happening.
Her face got blasted everywhere prematurely because 1) she's young 2) pretty 3) China thought she would be the next big player and wanted to get ahead of the game (yes I know she plays for the UK).

I will never understand this "call the trainer BS"... in my youth, champions made themselves through sheer determination, natural strength, and hunger to win. Back then, if you're hurt, you withdrew. Today, many are aided with too much technologies and medical timeouts that - I think are used only to slow down the opponents momentum. I prefer the champions of my time who won and lost with all the baggage in their heads and their hearts.

One recent example. 2019 Aussie Open, Serena Williams was cruising to a win over one of the Pliskova sister (sorry I get the names mixed up) the she rolled her ankle. Probably should have retired. But she stayed in and took her loss. Didn't call for extended medical treatment even though everyone saw her roll her ankle. I thought why not just quit and my friend who plays tennis, said the opponent would rather earn the win so if you can endure it's more respectable to play on. Not sure if that's true but at the time I admired Serena for that.

I feel that emma is just a little too frail and delicate for tennis world of the new era. She has a spark within her. But It is just not enough to sustain for a deep run. She has to find that inner animal that top top players like aryna and serena , venus have shown us... someone that is unstoppable and relentless and shows an animal like competitive spirit. She seems to me an amazing tennis player that is very very "blue" delicate and very much in her own style of choice. In this day an age for tennis players... they are grunts and often do things in an ugly manner in order to win. I am not saying she or any player has to become ugly. Bad looking. But tennis is a sport and whatever it takes to win within the confines of the public knowledge as of when they play for airtime tv is what counts. Better luck next time.
