Hey stu, I've gotten into drone fly about two months ago and I am hooked. I've been building my tiny whoops from parts I get off of amazon to save money. I've started with a qx7 and I love it. My next step will be to get into the FPV portion. I have been using simulators to get comfortable with that. This drone would help take me to the next step and would be greatly appreciated. All I would have to order is some FPV goggles which I have been saving my pennies for. Thank you for the opportunity. Love your videos and love how you help the community.

@@TheRealMackyt Yeah, I got a UR65 too (same thing basically) and it's great, can be a weapon round the yard just on 1S. Will get a 2S one eventually, preferably after some more development comes for battery solutions.
It costs 111.13 CHF here in Switzerland for the basic version, but that's with the more expensive FRSky EU-LBT option. Cheapest option comes in at 97.88 CHF (both without coupon). And damn I need this ASAP. Finaly a quad that you can fly outdoors in parks an other public places that you know you can't injure anybody and doesn't piss people off because it makes a huge amout of noise. This really is what I've been waiting for because I live in a city without a car so finding spots where you don't bother anybody, but that you can reach with a bicycle is really hard.
The Mobula7 costs $101.99 where I live and this thing looks amazing! I don't have a drone yet to fly FPV but I have been looking into it for about 3 years now but have not had the money to buy stuff for it yet. I am also scared I am gonna break something if I start on a 5inch or something. This thing looks amazing man!
OK, for starters. Please forgive my ignorance, I've been flying a few small (expensive) drones around the yard for a couple of months and want to upgrade to something a little more challenging. I recently bought a Turnigy Evolution Digital AFHDS 2A Radio Control System w/TGY-iA6C Receiver with the idea of buying a drone to go with it. After deciding the Mobula7 was the one I wanted. I see I have to make other choices and this is where I'm lost. Here are the choices: Basic BNF DSM2/DSMX Standard BNF FLYSKY Standard BNF FRSKY Non-EU Standard BNF FRSKY EU-KBT Standard BNF DSM2/DSMX Basic BNF FLYSKY Basic BNF FRSKY Non-EU Basic BNF FRSKY EU-KBT Now I have no idea what any of that means or which one to pick. Can you guys help an extreme newbie out? Thanks!
BNF means bind n fly, wich means you can just bind ur radio to it and fly it. so bnf frsky would mean if you have an frsky radio, you can bind it to it from the box
In my local currency, it costs about $102 (US) via BG. The thing I like about the Mobula 7 is that it can grow with me because I can run it 1S to start with along with a low camera angle progressing to more aggressive flight and higher camera angles. What a great value! I really wish it had 100 mW available on the VTX.
So it’s R$370.47~447.66 which is in reals. That’s the local currency here in Brazil. I think the thing to love about this drone, is the fact it’s less offensive, as you said, yet it still flies like a 5”. I usually fly in parks, away from the crowds of course, but my 5” just sounds like a monster tearing around, and I hate to scare the people who wander by! P.s. thanks for the vids. By far the most fun fpv content on RUclips!

It's $101.99 w/frsky non-eu receiver here in the US. I actually like that you use 2 1s batteries so I can fly wih other 1s drones or fly with just 1S. Very versatile!
I built a whoop like this one time. I used a tiny fish 16mm F4 Stack, m0703 brushless motors, Unify Pro Nano, TBS Crossfire Nano, 2s 450mah 75c batteries. It’s super fast and fun. 👊

Hi Stu, been following your page for quite a while as I enjoy the content and presentation. I'm not much of an FPV racer, but a major tinkerer, and a 59 year old guy with a bit of engineering experience, so perhaps not your most usual demographic. I bought a Mob7 pretty much on the strength of your review and am now onto my second, as I tried to run before I could walk and flew the first outside on the goggles and lost it (have since added a 'reward and phone number sticker)! Odd as it may seem, I think the smoked black frames are more robust than the white ones, which may be due to plastic type and pigment. I have found that adhesives aren't good on these plastics, but they 'weld' using a soldering iron really well. Another little tweek is to add a couple of very small rubber 'O' rings to each of the rear three mounting columns under the canopy, these act as spacers and make it much easier to push your USB plug in when using Configurator. A blob of hot melt glue at the point the receiver antennma is soldered to the board is a good idea too as strain relief. Just my thoughts that might help others, and thanks for the channel.

@@nathanfagan9881 well yeah, but typically smaller quads are actually harder to fly but this one bridges the gap between old small ones and full on 5inch quads, if youve had a go on simulators you should be fine with any of the recent quads. the only issue is money, this quad is about half the price of a 5inch, i'm not sure how cheap the batteries are but 5inch packs, 4s 1300mah are about 22 quid each, you need at least 6, and a charger 30quid ... you will crash and you will break stuff, 5 inchers are tougher and easier to work on. i would recommend you buy this set up and immediately start researchng what kinda 5 inch you want to fly, and its probably good to know which style you want to be doing, freestyle or racing or one that is ok for both as a beginner. uavfutures does a great video on building your own $100 5inch quad, i strongly recommend you watch that and seriously consider building your own 5 incher... its a bit of a learning curve to troubleshoot a quad so building will give you a good solid foundation as to how they work, its easy enough, theres just quite a lot of it. and there is nothing as satisfying as your first test hover of something you built yourself.
TechtronicMountain agreed. I don’t know if stew has flown the 75x yet. Think I would refrain from saying “the best ever” until he flys one of the 75x’s to compare. But also now emax released the tinyhawk today and it claims a top speed of 35mph and its 1s.
@@ZenMountain I agree people are trying to capitalize, but suspect the Beta75x is a bit too heavy w/ too short a flight time for many whoop-class lovers. Also makes it a bit less indoor & people friendly.
Do you think it would be easy enough to change the vtx for more power? I live in a log cabin and most likely would need more penetration than 25mw provides. It cost 115 dollars to get here in the states. It looked like my first 5in, power wise, in that first video.
Ik had hem 3 weken geleden gekocht via Ali. Toen betaalde ik nog €67,00 maar die prijs is niet meer te vinden. Gelukkig geen BTW hoeven te betalen. Ondanks dat het via DHL werd verstuurd.
It's $119.48 on Amazon, which I can't afford right now but it looks so durable and compact. PERFECT for this long winter indoors. Good way to start out and practice your mobility skills as a drone pilot. So stoked to get into the hobby!
I don't normally jump the fence and buy stuff after watching half a video. but am now 17:25 into the video and I already preordered 3 of them. Looking sick man!
This drone looks like tons of fun in such a tiny package. The cost hers in California in $101.99 for the standard version and basic version is $99.95. I have you can do inverted yaw spins is all I needed to hear and I love that is can do 2S, amazing!
I am not sure which version i should buy for receiver compatibility? I have a spare Spectrum DX6i and i also have 2 extra 3dr iris+ receivers which i believe are FrSky DJT receiver compatible.
Which prop mounting hole sizes are appropriate for the 0802 motors? Do I want to friction fit with a 1.5mm prop hole? Is 1mm too tight? Or should I find props with 2mm holes? If you can throw me a link, I'd quite appreciate it. Thank you!
nice drone here in u.s. its between $89-110 bucks depending on site and included accessories. i like that it rips like a larger drone outdoors but could also be used indoors or as a entry level drone because of its tiny size.. one could learn indoors maybe with a lil limiting on sticks, and then venture out for some more room to explore its true capabilties...
I've had mine for a week now and properly enjoying it. Looking at doing a few upgrades soon. I would highly recommend getting a few spare frames as they do break pretty easily. An extra motor or two would be a good idea also.
I love that the modula 7 has the option to be 1 or 2 s battery. That could really come in nice for beginners like myself starting to get in to the hobby.
Nice. Thought about getting the snaper 7 but I dont know now. I have no fpv comunity if my town or close to me. Have thought about ways to get it started. I live in a small town.
Hi, love your videos. Just order a few days ago one of these using your promotion code. I would like to know what kind of "pin connector" ou "jumper" should i use in order to be able to use 1S batteries - i want to fly indoors and with 2S its harder to fly. Too fast. Thank you for your help.
Hi Stew, I ordered 1 about 4 weeks a go from Aliexpress. It cost me $80.00 US. and just received it yesterday. This little guy flyes spectacular. Just bind, set your modes and fly. Also turtle mode works great. Cheers.
101.99 here in the US of A for the standard version with the charger you dropped ;) my favorite thing about this whoop class drone is the power and that it's able to maneuver like a much larger drone.
I'm really new to FPV and about to get my HAM license to begin the hobby. This may be the first drone I look into getting before building a 5" quad :) Thanks for the review UAVfutures!
$95.99 in the US (Minnesota)! I can’t believe all the features this has plus the sendiness...would be an awesome addition to some indoor racing when it’s -10F outside!
Drone cost about 146 in aussie monies. Never owned a whoop before but judging by the footage, i think it's a great drone for flying in tight spaces and i love that it has pretty much the same capabilities and performance as a mini kwad!
Can you detect how much power is being used with the goggles how much battery life the Drone has and can you put a night vision camera on a drone cuz I think that would be awesome
For me this drone is 2170 mexican pesos. I´ve been flying a tinny whoop for a month now. I love the convenience of its size but the lack of power has been a problem. This whoop seems like a real game changer, in the videos it almost looks like a 5¨. I would love to have this drone!
For the price yes it’s great. But how does it compare to the beta75x. Of course it’s cheaper than the 75x. I wonder how this one would do with reverse props. But it does look great.
It's $101.99 of awesomeness! That video could fool anyone to think its a 5 in! I've been researching on getting into this hobby the past couple weeks, and was bummed to know I wouldn't get to start till spring as I'm in a colder area. But now I'm excited to see that I could start indoors with one of these little guys! I hope I win this little monster!
Hi Stew. The tiny whoop costs 1080 ZAR (South African Rand) that is about 200 AUD. I love the fact that the FPV cam angle can easily be changed. And that it can run on 1S and 2S. Love it. Was thinking of getting it for myself for Christmas
greetings you have an excellent channel and you really help a lot and congratulations and well I have a question: I have a DYS 4 in 1 of 30 and they work well only do not whistle doing the buzzer function or not if you have to enable the go in betafligth, when you put them in blheli it only gives me options of 6.65 blheli-multishot and others that only says official but ninhun dshot or not c if that's the reason why the turtle mode does work then I do not know why they do not sound like a buzzer function? Thank you
Looks like the standard version is $102 US but I wish you could buy from another company, Banggoods takes forever to ship. Can say I really need it for winter because I live in Florida but that things looks awesome, I like how they use 2 1s batteries to make it a 2s.
Looks like 101.99 for the standard version in US$, frsky compatible. This little quad looks like a huge improvement over the little brushed mini I built and have been flying around the house. Weather in Alaska keeps my outdoor flying days limited :(

It's $119.48 on Amazon, which I can't afford right now but it looks so durable and compact. PERFECT for this long winter indoors. Good way to start out and practice your mobility skills as a drone pilot. So stoked to get into the hobby!
$102 in usd. I want!
That thing is fast!!! I love that it is brushless no weak brushed motors
Would you recommend this over a Newbeedrone for a beginner?
Which prop mounting hole sizes are appropriate for the 0802 motors? Do I want to friction fit with a 1.5mm prop hole? Is 1mm too tight? Or should I find props with 2mm holes? If you can throw me a link, I'd quite appreciate it. Thank you!
How are the props attached? Please tell me it's not a compression fitting. I hate when props go flying off because nothing is securing them.
nice drone here in u.s. its between $89-110 bucks depending on site and included accessories. i like that it rips like a larger drone outdoors but could also be used indoors or as a entry level drone because of its tiny size.. one could learn indoors maybe with a lil limiting on sticks, and then venture out for some more room to explore its true capabilties...
Wicked 👍 what I need to fly this Ino remote witch one n the FPV things??
Is this good for beginner ?
What controller and head set do your recommend
$95.99 and up, here in the USA. I like the idea of a Whoop that I can fly indoors on 1S, and outdoors on 2S. Very cool!
I am still not sure how to set this up on 1S?
Can I make that plug to ‘short’ the cables out? Or can I buy one?
Thanks
Can we increase the vtx power output?
I love the fact that it takes both types and is so versatile.
Hi Stew, I ordered 1 about 4 weeks a go from Aliexpress. It cost me $80.00 US. and just received it yesterday. This little guy flyes spectacular. Just bind, set your modes and fly. Also turtle mode works great. Cheers.
You listed the compatible 1s batteries but nothing on a 2s. Could you recommend a 2s for us to use?
101.99 here in the US of A for the standard version with the charger you dropped ;) my favorite thing about this whoop class drone is the power and that it's able to maneuver like a much larger drone.
What about et115 v2? Its can be same class?
I'm really new to FPV and about to get my HAM license to begin the hobby. This may be the first drone I look into getting before building a 5" quad :) Thanks for the review UAVfutures!
flies great! what are the PID settings?
$95.99 in the US (Minnesota)! I can’t believe all the features this has plus the sendiness...would be an awesome addition to some indoor racing when it’s -10F outside!
Drone cost about 146 in aussie monies. Never owned a whoop before but judging by the footage, i think it's a great drone for flying in tight spaces and i love that it has pretty much the same capabilities and performance as a mini kwad!
Do you think it can handle 808 #16 camera? Just for HD viewing...
What is dimension of 1s battery can fit it (when running just 1S battery, and not 2 1S with bracket)?
Where I live, this drone is original $118, and two things I love about it is that it’s portable and flies amazingly!
Can you detect how much power is being used with the goggles how much battery life the Drone has and can you put a night vision camera on a drone cuz I think that would be awesome
In australia it is $143.92 for the standard Version -> still quite a nice price and the outdoor potential looks great.
Is there a bnf version with a fly sky receiver?
For me this drone is 2170 mexican pesos. I´ve been flying a tinny whoop for a month now. I love the convenience of its size but the lack of power has been a problem. This whoop seems like a real game changer, in the videos it almost looks like a 5¨. I would love to have this drone!
For the price yes it’s great. But how does it compare to the beta75x. Of course it’s cheaper than the 75x. I wonder how this one would do with reverse props. But it does look great.
What radio systems can you get it with??
Which would you recommend us/uk65 or this one?
Those little 2s quads are so amazing! I have the beta 65x right now.
So, this against the tinyhawk, how does it compare?
Will this one run both 1s and 2s? Or just 2s.
Hey UAVfutures! Whereabouts do you fly your drones?
Which model do I need to buy to work with turnigy evolution
it’s about 102$ US the thing i like about it, is the size of the drone in comparison of the power it has behind it looks like a lot of fun
Are the 550mah batteries ok? Not too heavy with 2 of them in? Is it worth it over the 250 for extra flight time? Cheers
Around 12000RSD once converted. I fly 2" but it's too strong for indoor and not for proximity around people. This looks like a blast for just that.
Can u review the emax new whoop and compare it t the mobula
Can this bind with a spektrum controller?
I mostly fly Whoop class. The one I built with a Zer0 is pretty good, but wow - the Mobula7 looks great. I really like the double batteries.
How does this compare to the betafpv 65x 2s
greetings you have an excellent channel and you really help a lot and congratulations and well I have a question: I have a DYS 4 in 1 of 30 and they work well only do not whistle doing the buzzer function or not if you have to enable the go in betafligth, when you put them in blheli it only gives me options of 6.65 blheli-multishot and others that only says official but ninhun dshot or not c if that's the reason why the turtle mode does work then I do not know why they do not sound like a buzzer function? Thank you
Is there any smartaudio on this one?
Looks like the standard version is $102 US but I wish you could buy from another company, Banggoods takes forever to ship. Can say I really need it for winter because I live in Florida but that things looks awesome, I like how they use 2 1s batteries to make it a 2s.
Looks like 101.99 for the standard version in US$, frsky compatible. This little quad looks like a huge improvement over the little brushed mini I built and have been flying around the house. Weather in Alaska keeps my outdoor flying days limited :(
its 104 CHF, which is about 100usd. i like the fact u can run it on 1s or 2s which is great for indoor flying to step down a bit :)
The Whoop class Mobula7 costs 873.76 kr in Norway! I like how you can fly this thing outdoors and how genuinely excited you all seemed about it!
Would definitely love to have one. It cost Php4,952 for the basic version at BG , on preorder still though. And I've put all my 5" racing quads up for sale already due to limited time and space to fly. So, this Mobula7 would definitely make for a fun park or any small space flying.
I ordered one with your code! Thanks! I'm a 60 year old kid when I'm flying! Love your videos!
There $121 in aus and love that you have the option of the 1 or 2s batteries
I was doin inverted yaw spins with the ur65, can't wait too try this little drone
Great video mate does this quad have stability mode and acro I am new so don't know
