Never played either one but my nostalgia side goes to the first one with the characters. The password system sounds way better as well. They both are far better it seems than cobra strike which is what I have.
IMHO it does not. They added new features but took away import elements like shooting up and down, grenades, decent initial life bar, vehicles and unique rifles per character.
The melee attacks in Atlantis Factor remind me of Kick Master. Makes sense, since the same devs handled both and Kick Master came out only a few months prior to AF.
Capcom has always done unique things from time to time, I wouldn't put it past them to make the password system a part of the experience. It's not just writing down a string of characters; it's deciphering a secret code, like a secret agent. Just a thought.
I always kinda thought so. The sprite designs and weapon functions were too close to the originals, among other things. The C-List roster of the first one always confused me; but I wonder if it was a licensing issue with Konami over the arcade game or something.
Does the Atlantis Factor hold up against A Real American Hero?

Nice i have both of those gi joe a real american hero games for the Nintendo entertainment system
If the GIJoe game would have come out two years earlier with more classic designed skins, it would have been legendary. Instead its an underrsted gem.

Both games were made by developer KID. It just happens that they're under different publishers.

Retro gaming hippie approves!
Great video. I loved the cartoon and comic as a kid. Deciding on adding one of these to my collection soon.
Thanks for stopping by retro gaming hippie! Yeah both are slowly creeping up in price I hope you can find either of them at a discount!
