With the Skyguider Pro, and not guiding, I'm limited to how long I can shoot to avoid star trails and still get enough data on my histogram, but also pick up some of the dark nebulosity around the cluster. There was a time that I was afraid of the noise, but less so with the tools available such as noise exterminator and hours of data. Ultimately it all came down to getting my histogram where I wanted it.
@@astroventure2221Thanks for a fast response 😊 I think dynamic range is very important. With a high iso we lose opportunities to get as much color and luminosity out of photos. I use skywatcher gti. I capture images with and iso 320, sp 120 sek and f5,6. My focal lenght is 350 mm ( 100-400 mm zoom lense) my camera is sony a7rv. What you think about my point here?
We've had our share of smoke from California here in Nevada. If it's not that then clouds. Glad to see you back.....
I do find it ironic that the self-proclaimed green state is responsible year after year for so much smoke pollution.
Ty for another video. No excuses required :)
You're welcome and thank you for the understanding.
No problem George.
I understand completely.
Just glad you were able to push out this video.👍🏾👍🏾
Doing some self-inflicted butt kicking. Thank you.
Why didn't your flats get rid of the dust spots?
I'm not sure what happened. I'm going to process the data in chunks and see if i can figure out when it happened.
Just a question. Why so high iso?
