What blows my mind every time I watch this is that as good as Sam is, as soon as Ren starts singing you forget you even heard Sam, because HOLY CRAP!!
it's called charisma, Ren has it in spades

This is a great performance. My favorite part is Ren just showing off at the end. Sam’s latest release See Me is well worth listening to.

Great reaction! Both Ren and Sam had their soprano pants on that day and Sam's were extra tight! This is just a beautiful mix of sounds. I love how they get kind of fun and experimental with it. I would have loved to have seen this performance in person.
Is it petty to feel envious of those little kids sitting up front gawking? Cause that's where I would have been. Love the beat boxing!
An interesting note, there were two videos from this day. In the one recorded right after (walking on the moon/no diggity) you reviewed about a month ago. In it, the guy with the guitar starts to leave but gets hyped when he hears Welcome to Jamrock in the mix.

Being from Tennessee, I have to say that Nashville has a fantastic busking scene and I think that’s why the busking performances are some of my favorites.

I have never felt quite confident enough to comment or recommend before but might I suggest Sam Tompkins Lose it All and Romain Axisa’s It all Feels Old as especially beautiful and moving pieces from these talented artists
They are both beautiful songs! I never really commented or gave suggestions before, either. If I see a reaction I like, I'll click on it, but I didn't have much luck trying to spread my music love on RUclips.

I love this so much. Sam is a beast. Any of his songs live are incredible. Lose It All (Live Session) is a good place to start, but everything is amazing.

I love sam please please dont get me wrong he can sing his butt off but, hes a one trick pony. Ren however is an artist and i believe thats why his music is going farther. We've been mentally craving an artist like ren for what seems like decades that does it all . I had honestly given up hope that originality was dead until him. Well done as always walt you sir are a legend
I just love this one! Did you already do the Big Push Wade on the water/Nina Simone etc? That's my other absolute favorite!
This is one of my favorites, too, and these guys are literally out there just jamming! I think that is why people are so drawn to them. Nobody cares if someone is sharp or flat or if someone misses the timing. It's all about their feel, and this is what is missing from music that comes from someone with a label and producer, imo.

wonderful reaction, and i can relate so much. When someone asks me about songs i always say: nah, im not sure i know the song... then they play it to me and of course i know the song :) i just can't remember song titles.

Some of my favourite solo Sam tracks are, Not so grey, you broke my heart so gently, and lose it all. He just released one last week called See me its great too.

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but this is a short documentary-like video of Sam opening for Justin Bieber, and then Justin inviting him on stage to sing with him.
