1. Is it okay if I share....? 2. Would you mind...? 3. I can appreciate that. (This one could be used when someone has just shared their opinion) 4. With your permission. 5. Provided this is beneficial for both of us.
Dr. Grace, you are always so insightful, and so generous in sharing your expertise so we can grow personally and professionally! I'm a PhD student and your videos have helped me so much. Thank you very much!
There is something more important and that is expressing the part that you’re giving your opinion, statements like “to me, I see it like…, here’s my opinion, here’s how I see it, here’s what I have to say about this…” instead of immediately going about stating your opinion because that makes it sound as a fact rather than just your opinion and that can offend or hurt someone.
What I like most of these 5 key phrases is # 5, to reciprocate the idea that challenge myself to express broadly of what my perspective with regards the conversation.
Your content is helping me in a big time way. Thank you! I really love, “With your permission”. I’m learning how to communicate more professionally, and less emotionally. ☕️
Dear Dr. Grace, I wish I knew you earlier. My teacher just sent one of your videos to our class telegram group and most of us like it a lot. we can understand it well even our English is not good😌 Big heart 💜
you motivate me to become confident in building myself to be a good speaker like you. I appreciate your work much. Keep it up helping people to transform. thank you.
This morning I voiced my opinion about something I didn't like, but it came out as insulting and in a ridiculing way. The people were not there when I voiced my opinion. I am sorry to anyone that I ever gossipped about, made fun of, talked about behind their backs, and for anything else.
@@DrGraceLee I have been working on myself involving expressing myself in a non-hurtful/insulting way. Sometimes, I do say insulting or sarcastic things (especially if I am upset). That is something I want to work on. I'm sorry to anyone for anything I haven't done or said that wasn't ok.
What? We all know that all you have to do is prelude everything with, "No offense, but..." and then you can say anything you want, and they can no longer be offended by anthing that follows the words, "No offense, but..."😂😂😂 Just kidding. I like what you have here. This is the third video that I've heard from you, and I am hooked on what you have to say. This is exactly what I need at this point in my life.
Hello Dr. Grace, thank you for your equipping videos always. My question is on the Phrase: 'With your permission...' do you then wait for their go ahead or do you just share your views after that? In other words, am I asking when I say this or I'm just an acknowledgement their authority? I like this phrase and would to use it appropriately.
The “buffer” concept is really helpful. My favorite of these five suggestions is, “ provided it is beneficial to both of us.“. I think it is a strategy that may work for me. Thank you Dr. Lee.
How to have small talk with moms at park? At party? On the street with neighbors? Dr Lee could you pls offer another topic which is for stay home moms which has given up our careers :(
Provided this is beneficial for both of us may I have your permission, to share my ideas with you regarding any opportunity going forward to open with an optimistic effective approach to having people hear what you share, without rudeness.
Great video thanks for the good tips. I like these are something close to it like #5 Do you mind if I share a perspective or strategy that benefits all of us or both of us ? Etc I can. Appreciate that ( or understand that ) With your permission I can offer more options that are a win win for everyone involved. It's giving me these ideas . I subscribe. I will probably use all of these or my version of them thanks
The content is really interesting and useful in daily basics especially at work...However, with your permission I would like to advice you not to drive while recording as I am worried that you might get in an accident...

My favorite is, I can appreciate that, or I can see why you say...or acknowledging the other's perspective before you offer yours... Thank you!👍🙋♀️
